Phew that’s a list! I’m all about small habits that all add up over time. Everyone’s list will be different.

A regulated nervous system that has adaptability and resilience is so important for our overall health and happiness! It’s not always about being calm, it’s about developing appropriate responses depending on what is going on. Having the capacity to respond to life’s challenges.

Regulation is always bio directional - this means it happens based on the input from the brain to the body AND the body to the brain

It’s not just the physical things (how we eat, move) , it’s also dictated on how we talk to ourselves, our mindset and the beliefs we hold - that all impacts our nervous system state.

A reframe for those navigating chronic fatigue, chronic pain, long covid, anxiety, IBS - ongoing niggly symptoms you can’t shake, ones that are forcing you to take a different approach.

Sometimes the evolution is greater than you realise, it’s hard to see when you are IN the process.

Many people I know who have recovered from chronic illness have shifted in ways they never anticipated. Life has presented new opportunities that were once not a thought, new understandings about themselves and what works for them.

Sometimes forced evolution can equal RE-alignment - don’t forget it when it feels tough 🫶🏼

Never underestimate the power of your words. The words you choose drive your habitual thought patterns, and the thoughts you practice consistently trigger neural pathways that shape the brain.

By noticing and changing your language, you’re not just changing how you feel - you’re training your nervous system to respond differently because you are shifting attention away from the amygdala (fear centre) and into new CHOICES. This has an impact on the entire body system🧠💪🏽

The more you do this, the faster a different route or perspective appears. Keep going!

Daily tracking & analysing the data, perfect diets, hitting protein, 10 step morning routines, long meditation practices, biohacking sleep, cold plunges,, hitting the step count, complex skin routines, daily cold plunges, Pilates princess or muscle mami, glucose levels … the list goes on

There’s nothing inherently wrong with these things at all, it’s the pressure to do it all right - especially in the age of comparison and consumerism. Different things suit people in different seasons and I’ve realised that sometimes less is more.

Yes the brain thrives on habits and routines, but pressure, perfectionism and control creates stress on the nervous system. Your body isn’t a checklist, your health isn’t earned by how many boxes you tick & discipline without alignment becomes disconnection - the more you chase someone else’s formula, the further you get from your own body’s wisdom.

London🇬🇧 Reconnecting with old friends, learning, working, exploring & LIVING 🧡

Memories that continue to remind me of my ability to be with myself (yes solo travel can be very confronting at times!), embrace change, take opportunities & TRUST that life has my back.

These are strengths that have ONLY come from moving through my hardest seasons & lots of nervous system work. The more we can build trust in the unknown, the more magical life can become 🤌🏼
