Kei te whakanui mātou i Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 🎉

We're celebrating Māori Language Week!

We know the words we use matter: kindness, connection, and encouragement can uplift the wairua (spirit) and remind us that we're not alone. ❤️

Here's some small phrases that you could try using this week:
🌿 Kei konei au mōu – I’m here for you
🌿 Ka taea e koe – You’ve got this
🌿 He toa koe – You are strong

Kia pai tō Te Wiki o te Reo Māori! – have a good Māori Language Week!

❤️ World Su***de Prevention Day - 10.09.25 ❤️

Today is a reminder that no one should go through tough times alone. Su***de is preventable, and reaching out — for yourself or someone else — can save a life.

If you need to talk to someone now, free call or text 1737 anytime to talk to a trained counsellor.

We offer mental health services for young people across Canterbury. You can refer yourself or someone else through the link below:

🌼 Spring Cleaning: Mental Health Edition 🌼

Spring isn’t just about tidying your room, it’s also a chance to refresh your mind and wellbeing 💛

Here are a few ways to give your mental health a little “spring clean”:
✨ Get outside — even 10 mins in the sun can lift your mood
✨ Clear your space — a tidy room can help calm your thoughts
✨ Connect — message a mate you haven’t seen in a while
✨ Try something new — a new hobby, switch up your playlist, or shift your routine
✨ Let go — write down and release thoughts that don’t serve you

New season, fresh start 🌱

What’s something you do to reset in spring? 🌸

Last week our MKR whānau came together for a morning of whakawhānaungatanga, team building, and reflecting on who we are as a collaborative.

Hosted by Stepping Stone Trust, Canterbury, we connected across our 8 NGOs, reflected on our mahi, discussed our values and purpose – and battled it out My Kitchen Rules-style in a cake decorating contest!

Featuring cakes exploring nature, outdoors, fantasy & fairytales, our teams had 60 minutes to create a cake masterpiece, scoring points for creativity, collaboration, and connection to theme.

'Ki te kotahi te kākaho ka whati, ki te kāpuia e kore e whati' - If there is but one reed it will break, but if it is bunched together it will not. 🤝❤️
