We had a great last session of the school holiday activities on Thursday. We started with kids yoga, then on to the plastic recycling setup at Riverlution, where one of the amazing volunteers ran us through the process. We finished with a bike ride through the red zone - which just keeps getting more beautiful.

Tomorrow's school holiday session, 2nd October, starts 9:15am. Meeting in the playground behind Avebury House. We will start with a kids yoga session inside Avebury House, followed by a visit to Riverlution hub to check out their awesome recycled plastic workspace. Then a cruise through the red zone checking out local flora, fauna, and play spaces.

In case you missed it, our lovely Timea is running kids yoga classes both Wednesdays from 9:15am to 10:00am during the holidays - that's 24th September and 1st October.

Designed for children aged 4-9 yrs, these classes help them to increase body awareness, learn about their body's abilities, and connect with their physicality at a deeper level. Classes are free with Uprising membership (incl the two week pass) or $15 per class with mats provided.

Tomorrow's school holiday session, 30th Sep, starts 9:15am. We have some options for the session so we will see how the mood is; we may do bike ride and playground discovery, harakeke harvesting and weaving, shelter building, or mud kitchen play.

What a day, it was super fun and the weather was awesome. Thank you for those who came. Next session is on this Thu meeting at 915am, at Avebury House playground. This session will include bike ride, visit to Riverlution and kids yoga.
