3 Reasons why you should regain your body in your forties if you didn’t train in your 30’s.

REASON 1: TURN BACK YOUR METABOLIC CLOCK.

Muscle is your metabolic engine. Rebuilding it boosts resting metabolism, improves insulin sensitivity, and actively fights age-related weight gain. This isn’t about vanity—it’s about upgrading your internal hardware.

REASON 2: PRESERVE YOUR FREEDOM & INDEPENDENCE.

The #1 predictor of longevity and independence isn’t your cholesterol—it’s your strength. Regaining muscle (sarcopenia reversal) means keeping your ability to travel, play, and live on your terms, without relying on others.

Reason 3: IT’S NOT ABOUT LIFTING HEAVY. IT’S ABOUT LIFTING SMART.

We focus on sustainable, joint-friendly strength that builds resilience from the inside out. Your future self will thank you for every rep.

What I would do if I was her personal trainer, her main even is in February and it’s called Carnaval at least 3 days of Samba( Brazilian dancing) for many hours, this beautiful lady is a her balance has to be outstanding to be able to dance in high heels 👠 her endurance also super important as she gotta last not only this street rehearsal but many more. Single leg work like Bulgarian squats, kick backs, single leg deadlifts, keep her well hydrated with electrolytes and a lots of protein after her training sessions would be some of the work that we would do to prepare her for her event in February.

Insights of what’s G-ABS Fitness

Pursuit of movement has been my passion, when I was a child I wanted to learn to dribble the ball like a Brazilian striker, didn’t have the talent or a good coach, my dribbles were limited to two. I had to learn to out run some of the bullies that lived in the same neighbourhood and escape from fighting every week, survival of the fittest yes I became a pretty fast runner, I wanted to move like Michael Jackson during my pre-teen parties, I was born into a dancing culture where every February we have at least 5 days of samba party where every age participates, Carnaval, I’ll never forget how to samba or moon walk. The beach was the weekly common ground where rich and poor mingle and the surf, bodyboard, bodysurf were the activities under the 40 degree sun. I had to learn Judo and Capoeira for the self defense and self expression, Rio de Janeiro it’s a massive city and you gotta be street smart if you want to explore. Before I left Rio to move to New Zealand I did a meditation course called Vipassana meditation in which you don’t speak for 9 days, can’t exercise or write anything, It was very hard but gave me the discipline to observe and pay attention to my breathing.

My approach to fitness is functional training is the way forward to develop skills, strength and conditioning. I’m focused observer on my clients technique during exercises. My aim is to make exercise a sustainable routine part of your life, encouraging you to do well in whichever activity you engage minimizing injuries.

I genuine believe that if you have a body you are already an athlete just need the right trainer.

I have been in the fitness industry for 13 years and became a specialist in body weight training, I love it. Still challenge myself to learn new movement patterns. I have transformed thousands of peoples lives along this years, keeping it humble and hungry to learn from science and experience of other trainers.
