This week is Myopia Awareness Week! Lets shine a light on myopia (nearsightedness) and its impact on our kids' vision.

Did you know that myopia is on the rise globally, and nearly 30% of Kiwi kids may be affected by 2030? 😯

3 Facts about myopia:
🔹It causes blurry distance vision, making it hard to see far away objects clearly
🔹Spending more time outdoors can help reduce the risk of myopia in children
🔹Early detection through regular eye check-ups is key to managing it!

What can yo do?
- Encourage your kids to play outside for at least 2 hours a day
- Limit screen time and ensure good lighting when reading or studying
- Book an eye test with an optometrist to catch myopia early.
