We celebrate the Summer solstice tomorrow with 108 sun salutes at 6am. It is followed by a 60 or 90mn sauna + ocean dip at 7:30am .

The practice at the studio is free but the sauna is $30 per person for 90 minutes (Limited to 10 people max) or $20 for 60 minutes.

What a year it has been! We are super grateful for the wonderful community of yogis and friends we have built over the years and we love you all so much ❤️ We want to thank you all for your presence, perseverance, good vibes, commitment and kindness over the years. Next year, the tree house will celebrate its 12th birthday! What a ride it has been! Thank you all for your continued support ❤️

As usual, the studio will close for Xmas and the holiday period and will reopen on Monday 2 February. We wish you all a wonderful Xmas and NY as well as a well deserved break if you are taking one 🌿

A few key dates/events below:

🌱This Sunday coming Vinyasa flow class starts at 8am instead of 9:30am
🌱There is no class on Thursday 11 nor Friday 19 December
🌱Sunday 21 Dec: Summer solstice 108 sun salutes at 6am. It is followed by a 90mn sauna + ocean dip at 7:30am . The practice at the studio is free but the sauna is $25 per person for 90 minutes (Limited to 10 people max). Book on Mindbody now and DM us to confirm your sauna space

✨Looking for experts in mindfulness/meditation and wellbeing✨

I’m leading a qualitative research on Mindfulness with my supervisor at Victoria University: the intent is to use the results of the research to create a new international measure of mindfulness. We started two years ago and have been interviewing experts in the field of mindfulness and meditation NZ wide and internationally. We already interviewed about 15 experts (mainly monks, academics, yoga or meditation teachers, physicians and international leaders in the field). We need another 5 or more to make our research more compelling.

I am reaching out today to you guys to get recommendations. It’s always better to secure an interview if you come recommended.

Ideally, we are looking for people with a minimum of 15-20 years teaching mindfulness or meditation or working in the field here in NZ or abroad. We are interested in interviewing individuals from any background: academics, neuroscientists, physicians, psychologists, monks, mindfulness teachers working with individuals, groups, schools or with corporates. We welcome participants from any nationality or ethnicity.

The interview takes about an hour and can be done in person or via zoom. There is an option to remain anonymous or to be cited in the research.

The research has been approved by Victoria University ethics committee and is non remunerated.
