We are back. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year.

We spent a great couple of weeks playing around in beautiful Central and finding only 2 days of rain. Snowy passes on the Rees Dart and sunsets from MCintosh hut. Exploring Coronet's trails , Welcome Rock's MTB and some gravel kms with Around the Mountain.

Next stop Taupo Ironman in March so you will likely see Duncan trying to get some harbour swimming in and pounding the pavement to play catch-up...

Chasing the 'Winterless North'. Great week vanning around Northland and catching up with friends. Even managed a few swims in preparation for Ironman Taupo. Don't forget the St Clair Salt Pool will be opening soon. So if you're about to go from zero to hero , try to get at least one swim in at the other pools before the season opens. Just so the shoulders don't get such a shock.

Millennials go to 'the local' at the weekend instead of the pub.
Can't beat the Silver peaks and awesome to see young families sharing their love of the outdoors with their kids over the school holidays. Great option for a first overnight hut experience.

We do love a Public Holiday and just another excuse to go exploring and find new places on our doorstep. Playing around Coronet on the MTB and hitting the trails with Ardie on Crown Range (dog friendly section).
