We are working to make yoga more accessible to more people, as well as offering RestRoom classes to alleviate the unprecedented volumes of stress we’ve all experienced over the past years. Our classes are more about the time of day and the teachers teaching them. We make allowances for an evolution of traditional practices so they are relevant to our contemporary world. In the RestRoom classes, you will be cocooned to an elevated level of comfort and quietly guided through very simple breathing techniques. This is time to simply do nothing so that your nervous system can steady and reset. All our classes are taught across all skill levels and we have a beginners course so you can feel confident with the basics. Every class on the timetable will finish with a significant Rest period in proportion to the length of the class.

🌿 HAÑSA FOUNDATIONS - UPCOMING TRAINING 🌿

We are excited to have the founder of Hañsa Wellness offering his Foundations 200hr yoga teacher training - right here at nu yoga, Ōtepoti.

Here Vincent shares a little about what to expect, this training is also an opportunity for you to learn more about yourself. Who you are physically, energetically and emotionally.

This upcoming training is a hybrid of weekly online (zoom) and three in-person intensive weekends.

It’s about learning how to observe, question, listen and understand the body more deeply.

The Hañsa Fundamentals Training includes discussions, experiential learning, anatomy, philosophy and practical teaching skills — creating space for knowledge to land in a meaningful way.

Sleep struggles are often connected to a nervous system that hasn’t fully downshifted from the day.

In our upcoming Yoga for Sleep & Stress workshop, Hannah Turner and Ray Jacobsen will share simple yoga and mindfulness-based tools to help regulate the nervous system and support deeper rest.
