Meet Neurological Physiotherapist Bronagh Quinn!

Physiotherapist for dizziness and balance issues, vestibular and neurological conditions, concussion/brain injury, and breathing dysfunction.

Bronagh graduated from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland in 1988 with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. She worked in the UK for 2 years before coming to New Zealand. She has worked in Whangarei and Dunedin hospitals and community before joining the Back In Motion team in 2008, then Motus Health in 2023.

Bronagh has specialised training in vestibular rehabilitation (Atlanta, USA, 2004) and stroke rehabilitation (Auckland, 1996).
She is a BradCliff Breathwork physiotherapist, an Ovio Mindfulness Facilitator and has completed courses in ACT and trauma-informed rehab.

Bronagh's specialties include:
- BPPV treatment (loose crystals),
- ‎vestibular conditions (inner ear),
- ‎issues with stress and anxiety,
- ‎breathing pattern assessment and training,
- ‎acute and chronic concussion rehab,
- people with neurological conditions such as stroke and brain injury, and
- older people with mobility and balance issues.

She has carried out research in brain injury and upper limb recovery following stroke.

Bronagh is a kind, positive, encouraging and empathetic practitioner who will work with you, your wider support network of health professionals and your family to help you maintain an active, social and independent lifestyle.

Bronagh is a passionate outdoors fan. She runs, kayaks and loves getting into the mountains. She also cycles and has got into bike-packing with her husband Dusty.

Meet our Specialist Physiotherapist Dusty Quinn!

In New Zealand, only a small number of physiotherapists have earned the title of Specialist Physiotherapist — and Dusty is proud to be among them.
This distinction is granted by the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand to clinicians who demonstrate the highest levels of clinical expertise, leadership, advanced assessment, and the ability to integrate and apply current research into patient care.
With more than 25 years of experience, Dusty works at the forefront of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, helping people manage complex injuries and persistent pain with clarity and confidence.
His work goes beyond the treatment room — Dusty collaborates closely with Medical Specialists, General Practitioners, and Physiotherapy colleagues, offering expert second opinions and patient management reviews to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Dusty’s role is part of a unique ACC-funded initiative that supports multidisciplinary care.

When not hiking he loves kayaking, previously white water but these days you're more likely to see him in a sea kayak with a fishing line out the back!
