Parlez Speech Language Therapy has moved! I’m now based in the Taste Nature Integrative Health clinic, Rm6, 2nd floor: 286 Princes Street.

I’ll be there three days a week: Monday – Wednesday and available for community/home visits on Thursdays and Fridays.

Looking forward to being part of the fantastic multidisciplinary holistic team in the clinic!

Marking NZSTA’s speech-language therapy awareness week (18th-22nd Sept): our theme Kotahitanga (working together for those with communication needs). Today’s aphasia group: local people with aphasia, Aphasia NZ CAA and Stroke Foundation CAs all working together to make this group happen…people with aphasia meet fortnightly at the Livingwell Disability Resource Centre in Dunedin for conversation practice and peer support.

This week is NZSTA Awareness Week- celebrating how SLTs work together in partnership to help those with communication and swallowing issues- we can’t do it alone! We work with schoolteachers, teacher aides, the allied health team, doctors, nurses,care staff, other care organisations, ACC…and at the centre of it all in partnership with the person with communication difficulties and their families, friends etc….
