HELPING BUSINESSES IN GREEN ISLAND

In response to the pending road closure:

Accent physio will like to help our businesses at Green Island affected due to road closure. From 1st of August till end of October, if you bring in your receipt on the day of your appointment from either Night n Day Green Island or Moyle’s Fresh Choice, We are offering $5 off your surcharge payment or private sessions when you show your receipt. Let us help one another during this tough stretch.

Update of Green Island Road Upgrades

Traffic and Parking
A full road closure at the intersection of Main South Road and Church Street will be required for the construction of the new roundabout from approximately early-August to early-October 2022.

The road closure is shown on the below map. The majority of Main South Road will remain open and we encourage all vehicles to use detours either over the motorway or via Abbotsford.

Access to the businesses and residents properties on the northern side of the roundabout will be via the temporary driveway at Harraways, as detailed in the photo.

Roundabout
The majority of works have been completed on the northern side of the roundabout. Once the conditions clear, the footpath and driveways will be asphalted and the temporary fencing removed.
The final section of kerb and channel, footpath and landscaping is currently under construction.

Upon completion of the above works, the road will be closed and the full depth reconstruction of the pavement will commence. This remains on track for the beginning of August.

Raised Crossings
Construction on the southern side of the raised table located opposite Green Island Memorial Park is well underway. Traffic lights are in place and traffic is alternating flow (operation 24hrs per day).

Progress has been slowed due to the wet weather. However, we are hoping to have the works completed and traffic management removed by the end of Monday the 25th of July

Project Overview
The works remain progressing well and the full road closure for the intersection improvements is set to occur in early-August, ahead of schedule. A link to a video outlining a project overview of the Green Island Road Safety Improvements.

Tena koto katoa

Hi Dunedin

We hope you have been doing well during level four.

With our part of the country moving to level 3, we are happy to inform you we now are able to provide physio service via Telehealth, which allows for videocalls with your physio. Please email us if you would like to set up an appointment.
In some cases, we might be able to provide appointment in person as defined as ‘urgent care’* during level 3. However, the ministry of health has a strict definition of what condition is in the category of urgent care. If you think your progress is of concern especially you feel you are regressing/worsening without the input of physio, please email us at info@accentphysio.co.nz so that your physio can evaluate your case to see if we should see you in person or a session of Telehealth is sufficient.

Thank you and take care,
Your Accent Physio team
