We know, we know… It’s tempting to turn to the internet for answers, when you have a health concern. But it’s teeming with misinformation, which can add to anxiety, or lead to dangerous delays in treatment. The only thing you should do online, is book an appointment with a GP.

Even a medical centre needs a bit of self-care. In this case, it was long overdue.
So, we started by sprucing up the building with a lick of fresh paint, and today, our new signage went up to match our refreshing new look. Soon, we’ll be giving the waiting room a much-needed makeover.
It’s all part of our plan to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for everyone.

🌿 Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori 2025 🌿
This September marks a special milestone — the 50th anniversary of Māori Language Week!

Born of activism in 1972, Te Wiki has grown from a single day of recognition into a nationwide celebration of te reo Māori. For five decades, communities across Aotearoa have worked to keep the language alive, strengthen its use, and pass it on for future generations.

📅 14 – 20 September 2025
✨ Join us in celebrating the journey of te reo Māori — 50 years strong, and a lifetime to go.

Kia kaha te reo Māori! 💬🖤🤍❤️

The Government has announced that prescription lengths will be extended in future, but the change isn’t in place yet. Right now, the maximum length for most prescriptions is still three months.

The new rules are expected to come into effect in 2026, and there’s work happening behind the scenes to get systems and regulations ready.

When it does come in, it could mean that people with stable, long-term conditions may be able to get prescriptions for up to 12 months, but that will depend on what’s safe and appropriate for each person.

We’ll make sure you have clear information closer to the time, and nothing changes for now.

We understand how frustrating waiting can be and appreciate your patience.

To improve your experience, you may receive a text with an estimated delay time. While this won't apply in all cases, we're committed to keeping you informed and making your visit more comfortable.

Appointments may run behind as we take time to fully address patient concerns. If you have multiple issues to discuss, please request an extended consult to avoid needing a follow-up.
