Supporting Our Young People
Formed in 1971, Youthline Otago has been serving our community and supporting our young people ever since. We are committed to offering accessible, non-judgemental services focussed on the needs of young people to the Dunedin and wider Otago area including Palmerston, Waitaki, Central Lakes District, and Oamaru. Our mission is to support and empower our local young people to develop the skills they need to grow and live healthy fulfilled lives.
Our services include staffing the national helpline and providing accessible and affordable face to face counselling, in addition to training and community education programmes. Our team consists of volunteers, office staff, trained counsellors, management, and board members. We are proud to have a strong community of volunteers contributing significantly to the wellbeing of rangatahi in Ōtepoti.
