Lockdown blessings friends,
Today’s blessing is for the numinous ones who are exhausted by the complexities and distress of our times.
May you stop imagining there is a way to figure this all out, a way to get this right, to reduce the sense of discomfort, distress and fear. May you realise dear one, that the times we live in are messy and hard.
May you root deep into what matters; your generative values, connection, well-being, belonging, and love. May you find yourself reaching towards these qualities of the soul as you navigate.
May you understand that fear is not your enemy, anger is not to be dismissed, uncertainty is not something to be ditched a soon as possible, and may you have the grace and the guts to see them as your allies. May you see these helpers from your nervous system as significant pointers to direct care, support, attention, compassion, and healthy boundaries.
May you understand that much harm come from leapfrogging out of their presence and much healing comes from rolling around with them; seeing into, under, and around them. May you have the stamina for this.
May you recognise much of your exhaustion as an untended symptom of the desire to run; out of the distress and irrevocable change of our times and may you be a loving place for your own grief that you must, in fact, stay. May you find ways to rest that are not an abdication of responsibility, ways to tend that are not bypassing, and may your relationship with honesty ground you and give you courage.
May you understand that the burden you carry is not just for you but for others and may your guardianship weight of this be trustworthy and mighty.
May you come to see that being tired and angry at our world is right and proper and may you find yourself in the company of willing and trustworthy others who will work with you to bring about the changes we have called into our lives by the actions of the collective.
May you have the nuance to see that which is yours and that which is ours and may your part in the healing be witnessed lovingly so that you know you matter.
May you take a stand for the goodnesses so abundant in our world and may you see with clear eyes how to save them.
