Clinical Massage Therapy in Dunedin

Within the clinic we have over 32 years experience in clinical massage therapy. Over the years we have assisted many clients ranging from Elite athletes to weekend pavement pounders, office administrators, pregnant mums, the sedentary to the very active. Each of these clients have similar goals, and that is to get their body moving as freely as it can and do so being pain free. Yvette Latta
I established Hands on Health -Latta Massage Therapy in 2005 after graduating with a diploma in Massage Therapy with distinction from the Canterbury college of Natural Medicine. I have been very fortunate to have travelled with the job I love to do which has taken me to the London and Beijing Olympics, track and field World champs in South Korea and Berlin with Athletics New Zealand, and numerous World Champs and World Cups with Rowing New Zealand. Day to day I still get a real buzz working with my regular clients, and seeing our new clients walk out of a treatment more upright and reduced pain. Each year I enjoy attending courses to further my knowledge, and will continue to do so to get the best for our clients. Emma Head
I graduated from the University of Teesside (UK) in 2005 with a BSc(Hons) in Sports Therapy. Since graduating my main focuse has been on clinical massage therapy, helping the individual to recover, repair and learn new strategies to help their body be the best it can be. I am always looking to improve on my skill set. I have additional qualifications and experience in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Pregnancy Massage and Relaxtion/Stress Management. ALL CHALLENGES ARE A CHANCE TO GROW and become more RESILIENT
Physical, mental, social, some challenges will be small, and some will feel much bigger.
Who knew this task would not be ticked off in an arvo
and who knew our team of three would take 1/3 of the D ring changes to fine tune our systems
Ha we eventually nailed it, and trampoline lives on
No instant gratification here πŸ˜…
Would we choose to just buy a new mat with the D rings attached, or choose the team building challenge if we had our time again..........who knows, but one thing for sure bouncing on that tramp now feels alot different in many ways πŸ˜ƒ
Have a great November and think, where can you challenge yourself over choosing easy.

Mini movement break
Free up your hips and back with this quick wee number, you don't even need to get out of your seat for this, and is great to do if you find yourself seated for long periods as a mini movement break, better still get up go for a short walk, then when you sit down again start with this stretch.
Try for 'full breaths' that move your ribs as you work through this
Tell us in the comments what do you notice when you compare left hip with right hip
Which side feels tighter/harder

To all those affected by Thursdays storm, the farmers, linesman, contractors, those still without power.......
Today is Labour day and tomorrow there will be another day.
Take the time to brew a cuppa and take a moment to think of something to be grateful for
-The roof that didn't get ripped off
-The shed that didn't blow in
-The tree that didn't land on the house
-The cows that finally got milked
-The neighbour that popped around to check on you
-The lives that weren't lost
-The sun that shone after the storm
-Or maybe just the cuppa your holding right now
Big or small its worth noticing what you can be greatful for
The clean up for some will be lengthy & overwhelming -Stay safe
Our thoughts are with you ❀️

⚑️ In to the medals for Anna Grimaldi - Athlete πŸ₯‰

Requiring three rounds to separate all the athletes, the women's 200m T47 was one hot competition in New Delhi! It took a world record run to claim the gold from Kiara Rodriguez of Brazil.

Anna's time was only 0.1s off her lifetime best in the event. Congratulations, Anna, what a run.

Great race Anna Grimaldi - Athlete! So tightly contested, 4th in the 100m pipped by a whisker .001s between 3rd + 4th. That is racing at its finest.

Only a thousandth in it ⏱ A flying Anna Grimaldi - Athlete misses the bronze medal by 0.001s in the women's 100 T47 final!

A thrilling race with 2nd-5th places changing seemingly every 10 metres over the sprint down the New Delhi stadium. Anna's trademark closing speed and a season's best wasn't enough to land her on the dias in the hotly competitive race.
