Zoe and I are back at it at our new office in Pahiatua and have availability for a couple of new clients! I'm here to help with your relationship, stress management, burnout, grief, trauma, postnatal challenges, depression and anxiety etc. I also offer EMDR intensives which provide the 'hard and fast' approach to therapy - perfect if you want to get to the bottom of your stuff, process something tough that's been hanging on to you and be done with the deadweight. "Bu**er this!" Is a more PC version of what actually went through my head as I noticed the increasing resistance as I proceeded to push more mud and sh*t into the wheels...
Then I stopped and thought "this is how some people experience depression". It's hard enough pushing uphill let alone when you've got mud on your tyres...depression just makes all and any task that little bit (or a lot) harder which means there's not much energy left over to be happy or positive.
So what can we do?
"This is going to be harder, but I just need to adjust my pace and keep moving" also "this resistance is good for my quads!" 😅

Make room for the experience and commit to keep moving while adjusting the pace. There's no room for self-judgement, but there is room for looking at what can be gained or learnt from the experience....there's also always room for humour! 💪

*Side note: I'd be the first to buy a set of actual mud tyres for the pram if they existed 😂

Beautiful day to get out and about as a family. Wee Penelope loves some fresh air and seeing all of her dogs working the sheep 🐏.

On Sunday, and at three weeks old, we finally (nervously) ventured out the back for little babes first farm tour. Equipped with our bladder pack turned nappy bag we had a great afternoon and it was a much needed break from the house!

On 29.09.2024 we welcomed our baby girl into the world. She weighed in at 8.4 pounds and doesn't quite have a name yet! So far she sleeps like a champ, just like her dad, and has an appetite like her mother - constant and hangry! Today we ventured out on the quad bike for the first time to check out the docking action on farm. Watch this space for updates as we navigate this new stage in life!

It feels like going back to the start to see my office like this. All moved out of 26 Stafford Street - my wee humble beginning for ...it's been such a blast having this space for the last 2.5years while I got started and built a sustainable business. I had amazing support along the way and continue to feel grateful for the opportunities I have every day. I'm excited to carry on the next leg at 9 Beattie St, a cute wee railway cottage that has excellent therapist vibes. I'm on the hunt for other therapists to share the journey with me at 9 Beattie St and will post pics of the rooms available soon so watch this space!
