It’s a common question.
Bowel cancer is being diagnosed in some adults under the age of 50. While routine screening is often recommended from age 60, symptoms or family history may warrant earlier investigation.
🔎 You should speak to your GP if you notice:
Changes in bowel habits (diarrhoea, constipation, or irregularity)
Blood or mucus in your stool
Persistent abdominal discomfort
Unexplained weight loss
A family history of bowel cancer
🩺 Your GP can help decide whether a colonoscopy or other investigations are appropriate for you.
