Update on Bevan’s dream to see. We have been a bit slack on posting but over the past 3 weeks Bevan has been in Germany for his second round of treatment. They are predicting some pretty amazing results from this round which we will update everyone on this once he has finished his treatment plan.
We, once again would like to thank everyone that has supported Bev through this! It means so much to him and the whanau

We used this page for our community to do amazing things for Bev, and it’s time to do so again but for 3 local whānau in Gizzy.
Heart breaking that 3 whānau have lost love ones to the sea ❤️

How neat is the improvement bevan has had from his treatment in Berlin Germany.
Left is before treatment, right is after treatment and training. This is how bevan sees the world and the right is so much better than before.
Bevan has received news he is eligible for a second treatment after the amazing results

This does not mean that he can see but what he could see before is now more defined in the contrasts of black and white

Bevan is back from his adventure over seas. The restore vision clinic could see improvement in his brain from the treatment which is amazing news, bevan still has ongoing treatment from home through a computer that arrived in Gisborne before him. This will help improve the connections and keep progressing.

We can’t wait to see the results in a few months

Bevan is about to have his last treatment tonight. They have seen positive changes for his site, things are a little brighter than what he could see before.
He has 2 months of training that is done from home as ongoing treatment to help the connection from his eyes to his brain.
Bevan is very happy that things are looking positive from this treatment.

Bevan is off ✈️
It will be a long flight with a few stops on the way to Berlin, Germany.
Thank you to everyone who made his dream come true! It’s finally happening.
We will be posting updates as we get them.

The countdown is now on for Bevan. In 5 weeks he will be heading off over to Germany to get 1 treatment of non evasive brain stimulation to hopefully gain some sight back. Depending on the success of the first treatment a second treatment may follow

Here are a few photos of what Bevan has been up to lately. He headed over to Tauranga and went on a fishing charter thanks to Parafed Gisborne. Caught a few fish and brought a feed home.
Also though Parafed Gisborne and Gisborne board riders he had an opportunity to give surfing a go. Check out the awesome photos. Yeah Bevan!!

Jody donated a beautiful peice of art for Bevan's fundraising night and now she is having her own difficulties with her sight so if you are not busy on Saturday 5th Nov gather up some friends and please go and support her and her whanau. She is a a beautiful Mum to two children and is a wonderful artist.

Biggest thank you to everyone that has contributed towards Bevans Dream to see. Bevan is in the process of planning and booking treatment with his whanau. Bevan is booking this for next year which gives us time to do a few more fundraisers to get the last little bit.
He has had a few set backs with planning a booking this year, he had a assessment with ACC booked for October (that ended up happening earlier) which meant he could not go until after that. Restore Vision Center had limited bookings available and Bevan would have been challenged going in Berlins winter months with snow and his cane so a decision was made that next year would be more suitable.

We once again thank all of you! He really could not be in this position of making his dream come true.
