Kia ora koutou katoa. We are a whānau based in Te Tairāwhiti. We flow from different waters around Aotearoa but are linked together like the unity of awa to moana. We are on a mission to save the world and solve everybody problems! Not really but kind of?
Our mission is to uplift the wellbeing of our people by acknowledging past and present trauma that is silently effecting our peoples potential to grow and live as our Tīpuna did. Sustainable, happy, free and indigenous.
We want to address the individual unique mamae and help our people find their own way to help themselves in a safe environment. Reconnection to tūrangawaewae, marae, iwi, hapū and te ao Māori is an important way for us to help whanau change outlooks on life and create safer whanau and community environments. We want to break, change & revitalize cycles that continue to effect our whakapapa through our babies and rangatahi.
We use what we have learnt individually and mix them in up in a big pot with some bones and puha to create safe spaces for our whānau to boil over, simmer down or cool themselves into a better way of living. To help make a change and help whānau find their voice and have it be heard is our drive.
