We’re closing the year by collecting notes of gratitude.

It can be a person, a class, a sunset, a small win. Gratitude shifts attention from what is missing to what is quietly working.

Comment below: What are you grateful for?

Let’s finish 2025 acknowledging the little moments that held us together.

Build a smart, sustainable Surya Namaskar. We’ll break down alignment, breath, and safe options for wrists, shoulders and lower back. New to flow? Step back and keep knees down.
Building strength? Try a slow plank and a supported backbend. The aim is steadiness, not strain.
Join us, ask questions, and leave with a version that supports your body today.

Just a quick note as we plan for the season—the studio will be closed from December 21 to January 4.

We’ll reopen on January 5, ready to welcome you back with new energy and a few updates to our schedule.

Until the break, classes will run as usual. Book early to save your spot, but you’re always welcome to drop in and see if there’s space.

If you’d like ideas for staying active at home, just ask us for a simple routine to help you through the week. We look forward to seeing you on the mat.

Just a minute can make a difference in your day.
Sit up straight, relax your jaw, and let your shoulders drop. Breathe in for four counts and out for four counts through your nose for 1 minute, keeping your mouth closed. If the tension feels overwhelming, let the air out through your mouth to start. But eventually, try to keep the nostrils doing the work. When you finish, pause and notice how you feel.
You can use this quick reset when feeling overwhelmed, out of balance, or anxious.
Remember, taking time for yourself often leads to real change. You can do it!
Just breathe. 🙏✨

On Thursday, 04/12, 2025, at 4:09 pm, there is a Full Moon here in New Zealand. This one will be under a steady Ta**us (sideral calculations) on a lunar mansion known as Krittika, or the Star of Fire.

Imagine it as the Moon's happiest holiday, a time when cosmic energies encourage us to clear negativity through positive thinking and attitude. Astrologers suggest this is when the Moon feels its best, or exalted.

Translating this astrology talk to yoga, embrace a slower, grounding flow to connect with the Full Moon’s energy. Focus on longer holds, twists, chest openers, and reflective meditation to release heaviness as the year draws to a close.

For life beyond the mat, harness the power of this Full Moon with "Full-Moon Fuel" activities. Engage in ceremonial fire rituals, strengthen leadership skills, unleash culinary creativity, indulge in crafts, focus on personal care, encourage honest conversations, experience musical expression, and partake in thoughtful discussions.

This is the last Full Moon of 2025, special, isn't it? Do you connect with the moon and the sky? I’d love to hear how. Share your thoughts in the comments below! Have an awesome FULL MOON, beautiful people!

December is here and we’re keeping it simple: steady classes, a calm pace, and a focus on presence.
Check our timetable, choose one practice that supports your week, and commit to showing up. If you’re new, start with a gentle or yin class; if you’re building rhythm, try vinyasa or a morning flow.
Book online to secure your spot or drop in when you can. Your breath sets the tone for the season—begin now.

Last week, we shared some tips for people joining classes for the first time. One thing we didn’t cover is how important silence is during a yoga class.
If you’re new, it might feel strange to see people quietly lying on their mats or sitting on bolsters before class starts. Even friends usually wait to chat until after class, and that’s completely normal.
Silence in a yoga class is as important as the mat itself. It helps calm the mind and connect with our breath. Over time, this quiet can feel special.
The next time you come to class and see people lying down or with their eyes closed, remember it’s not personal. Take it as a chance to let go of small talk and just be present. Enjoy the quiet.

Yoga mat: your personal space

A yoga mat is more than just an accessory, so we encourage everyone to bring their own. This is important not only for comfort but also for hygiene.

We have mats to rent here at the studio, and you are welcome to try a few in the studio before you buy—comfort and stability matter more than trends.

Questions? Drop them below or ask before class.

Are you new to Reset?

Here’s a simple guide to help you get started.

-Come as you are. Wear whatever makes you comfortable, and remember, we practice barefoot.
-Bring your own mat, or you can rent one at the studio.
-Phones aren’t allowed in the room during class. If it’s your first time, try to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.
-You can book your class ahead of time to save your spot, or just drop in when you’re ready.

Most importantly, just show up as you are. We’ll handle everything else.

Save this post and share it with a friend who’s thinking about starting. Yoga is always better with a friend.
