A slightly longer post than usual, but this is an important role helping support patients in our community.

𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 – 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲

Gordons Pharmacy is looking for a reliable and friendly person to assist with our Medication Oversight delivery service.

This role plays an important part in supporting members of our community by delivering medication to patients and ensuring it is taken as directed. You will be working independently on a set delivery run while maintaining a professional and respectful approach with patients.

𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀:
Mon – Fri mornings: approximately 7:00am – 8:15am
𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱:
AM shift: approximately 7:00am – 8:15am
PM shift: approximately 4:00pm – 6:00pm

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲:
• Deliver medication to patients on a scheduled run
• Confirm patient details and ensure correct medication delivery
• Observe medication being taken when required
• Record deliveries and report any concerns back to pharmacy staff

𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀:
• Reliable and punctual
• Friendly, respectful and comfortable interacting with patients
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Able to work independently
• Holds a current driver’s licence

Full training will be provided.

This role suits someone looking for short, structured hours and the opportunity to play an important part in supporting patients in our local community.

We know many of you have been cut off with the wild weather, road closures, and flooding making things incredibly tough. Please know we’ve been thinking of you.

Medication has now been collected and passed on to Civil Defence for delivery from Tokomaru Bay to Hicks Bay, so essential medicines can still reach those who need them most.

Thank you for your patience, your resilience, and for looking out for one another during this time. If you’re worried about medications or need support once access reopens, we’re here and ready to help.

As we head into Christmas, we just want to pause and say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the year. Every visit, every purchase, every kind word, it truly means more than you know.

This past month has been non-stop in the pharmacy, and it’s been a real reminder of how lucky we are. To our incredible customers and community, thank you for your patience, kindness, and for continuing to choose to shop local, we never take it for granted.

And to our incredible team, we are so proud of you.
