When the body is steady, the mind follows.

Most of us get stuck here. We think meditation is about sitting cross-legged and forcing the mind to be quiet. But if your body is uncomfortable or restless, your mind can’t settle.

That’s why preparation matters, sometimes more than the practice itself. Meditation isn’t about perfect posture or sitting in discomfort. It’s about finding a position where your body won’t distract you - chair, cushion, bolsters - whatever works. Steady the body and the mind will follow.

In this 6-week Breathwork & Meditation Course, we start with the physical body. You’ll learn how to prepare, use your breath to steady the nervous system, and build a practice that actually fits into your life.

This isn’t about being a “perfect meditator.” It’s about simple, practical tools for better sleep, more clarity, and a calmer, more balanced day. As someone once said, “the best meditation practice of all is the one you will do.”

Whether you’re just starting out or returning to your practice, join us for weekly guided meditations followed by open discussion/Q&A.

Yoga Nidra changed my life.

It taught me what radical rest really feels like. It costs nothing, I can do it anywhere, and it’s helped me through challenging times.

Yoga nidra showed me that rest isn’t just lying down or scrolling mindlessly. It’s a practice. A radical, intentional, life-giving practice.

In yoga nidra, we reclaim our bodies, intuition, and spirit. It’s how we loosen the grip of grind culture and come home to ourselves.

And it works. Every time I lie down and let myself be guided into that state between waking and sleeping, something shifts. My nervous system settles. My mind quiets. I remember who I am beneath all the doing.

This daily practice reminds me that rest is not optional. It’s my antidote to a world that demands we keep doing, producing and performing.

This Friday I’m inviting you to do the same:
✨ Settle in
✨ Let go of the busy-ness
✨ Reconnect with your body, intuition, and energy

Once a month, we gather to harness the energy of the new moon, gently move the body, then enjoy 30 minutes of deep, guided yoga nidra to pause and restore.

Open to all levels, even if you have never tried yoga. Class is casual, no need to pre-book. Mats and props are provided.

Investment: $20 (5-card concession $90 and can be used for any yoga classes)
Time: 9:30–11am
Venue: Movement First studio, 23 Derby Street, Gisborne

A monthly invitation to pause, restore, and show up for life from a place of calm, not exhaustion 🌸🙏🌸

Returning to work and my usual routine this week has felt clunky.

I’m reminding myself that it’s OK if it takes a week to settle in (or even a month). At this stage of my life, I don’t need to have my foot flat on the pedal.

Summer, hormones, and midlife are all fiery, outward forces. Add a return to doing, and it’s easy to feel wired, tired, or quietly overwhelmed.

If that’s you too, this Sunday’s Women’s Summer & Hormonal Reset Workshop is a space to:
✨ Slow down
✨ Steady your energy
✨ Calm your nervous system
✨ Regain focus gently before the year gathers pace

A space to work with your body, not against it.

Date: Sunday, 25 January
Time: 10am–12pm NZT | 8–10am AEST
Online (replay provided) | $49

A belated Happy New Year!

A friend shared this with me last week and it really resonated:
“May this final month of the (Chinese) Year of the Snake bring some last letting go, shedding, and quiet transformation, so we can enter the Year of the Horse in February with more freedom, ease, momentum, creativity, and expansion.”

I’ve been mapping out the year ahead and feeling excited about what’s unfolding inside the Heart Space community.

You can swipe to see what’s happening season by season, or read below for a snapshot.

Weekly yoga and monthly New Moon Yoga and Yoga Nidra run all year to create a steady, supportive rhythm. Courses, cleanses, workshops, and retreats offer deeper immersion when you’re ready for more.

Here’s what’s coming up first;
🌀 New Moon Yoga and Yoga Nidra next Friday 23rd January. Our first session of the year.
🌀 Monday yoga resumes on 2nd February, after Auckland Anniversary weekend.
🌀 Our first online Women’s Reset Workshop is next Sunday 25th January. Live or via recording. A few spaces still available.
🌀 Seasonal and silent retreats return this year, including a three-day Silent Meditation Retreat overlooking Lake Taupo in July.
🌀 And registrations for the Good Change Community are now officially closed for 2026. A beautiful group of new and returning women from NZ and Australia are gathering very soon!

Lots to look forward to, and I’d love to see you in our online and in-person spaces.

Learn more or register for any offerings here: https://www.heartspace.co.nz/work-with-me/ or DM me with your questions.

Here’s to a year of freedom, ease, and (steady) momentum. No rushing. No pushing. Just forward.

Rose Petal Chocolates 🌹

I'm a big fan of dark chocolate — 70-80% is perfect for me, and I love some texture and salt. These are simple, wholesome, and indulgent chocolates you can make at home in minutes. Rose keeps things cool when cacao naturally heats things up.

Why rose? In Ayurveda, cacao is naturally heating which can add to our inner fire when we're already full of summer heat. Rose is cooling, calming, and anti-inflammatory. It brings a subtle sweetness that opens the heart while keeping excess heat in check. Perfect for bright, busy summer days.

Recipe:
Ingredients: ½ cup coconut oil • ¼ cup cacao powder (or cocoa) • ⅛ cup maple syrup • 2 tbsp almond butter (I use crunchy) • 1 tsp vanilla • pinch of salt • ½–1 tbsp powdered edible rose petals • coarse Himalayan salt

Directions: Melt coconut oil, almond butter, cacao, maple syrup, vanilla, salt and rose powder over low heat. Stir continuously, don't boil. Pour into moulds. Sprinkle salt. Chill until firm. Store in fridge or freezer.

For more fragrant chocolates, add ½–1 tsp rose water or rose extract to the melted mixture.

🌸 I used spray-free edible roses from — hand-picked and dried in small batches on their family property in Te Awamutu, grown without chemicals. Beautiful local blooms 🌸

As we wrap up the year, THANK YOU for being part of this Heart Space community — whether you joined a class, came to a workshop, joined a retreat, or simply read along when you could.

Wishing you a restful and joy-filled festive season. See you in the new year!

Becs 💛

The doors to the Good Change Community 2026 are now officially closed, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to welcome an amazing group of women into this space for the year ahead.

Over the past seven years, this community has grown into something truly special — a place where women reclaim rhythm, energy, and balance, and support each other through life’s twists and turns. Women from Whangarei to Queenstown, Ohope to Motueka, and as far away as Lennox Head, Byron Bay, and Tasmania are joining us — bringing curiosity, commitment, and warmth from across Australasia.

To those who joined: thank you for trusting yourself, for choosing to move with life rather than against it, and for committing to gentle, sustainable change. Your presence is what makes this community alive and nourishing.

A bow of the head to all you GCC cheerleaders, advocates, and past members who continue to be the ripple... your support and encouragement make all the difference 🙏

To everyone who will journey with us in 2026: get ready for seasonal resets, workshops, live calls, and a year of practical guidance that meets you exactly where you are.

✨ Enrollment is closed — we can’t wait to begin!

With much gratitude,

Becs 💛

Last Chance to Join GCC 2026... Doors close tonight at 5 pm (NZT) ⏰✨

Some days it feels like life is running you, not the other way around. Energy dips, stress piles up, and even small decisions feel heavy.

That’s exactly where Becky started. Living with chronic fatigue and psoriatic arthritis, she wasn’t looking for a miracle — she just wanted to feel steady enough to live her life. Over her first year in GCC, she found more energy, better sleep, and a sense of calm she hadn’t felt in years. Her insurer even recognised the shift and funded her membership again for 2026.

"GCC gave me energy, clarity, and resilience I didn’t know possible." — Becky

Tricia joined after nine turbulent years of feeling pulled in every direction. She discovered that change doesn’t have to be big or perfect — small, steady habits add up, gently transforming life from the inside out.

"Small, steady habits changed my life — gentle, practical, sustainable daily shifts." — Tricia

Inside Good Change Community 2026, you don’t have to do it all at once. You’ll step into a supportive rhythm, guided by seasonal resets, workshops, live calls, and everyday practices rooted in Ayurveda, Yoga, and mindful living.

You don’t need to be ready. You just need the smallest “okay… let’s try.”

Membership: $44/month or $440/year
Doors close tonight at 5 pm — reopening January 2027

✨ “I’m not ready.” “Maybe next year.” “Once things quieten down…” ✨

These thoughts feel reasonable — but most of the time, they’re just resistance dressed up as logic.

Life won’t hand you a perfect window. It never has. And the women who join GCC don’t do it because everything is calm — they join because they’re done waiting for life to line up before they invest in their wellbeing.

Staying the same is always the easier path:
Busy. Scattered. Tired. Overloaded. Hoping something shifts on its own.
But change doesn’t respond to hope — it responds to willingness.

You don’t need readiness. You just need the smallest “okay… I'm in.”

Inside Good Change Community 2026, you’ll learn how to:
• Build energy, steadiness, and clarity through rhythm, not pressure
• Rewire daily habits with Ayurveda, Yoga, and mindful living
• Feel supported by a community of women who genuinely get your world

As member Aroha Anderson shared:
"Good Change is an incredible wellbeing experience. If something feels missing in your life or health, this community is for you. You’re well supported as you build better habits — with compassion at every step."

You’re not signing up for perfection.
You’re choosing rhythm over push, support over going it alone, and a year that feels different because you move through it differently.

Membership: $44/month or $440/year
Doors close 30 November — reopening January 2027.

Every time we finish a community cleanse — like we did last Sunday — I’m reminded why we do this work. These resets shift things. Not by pushing harder, but by returning to rhythm.

Cleansing isn’t about restriction or proving you’re disciplined. It’s about giving your body a clear runway. A chance to digest, settle, recalibrate, and remember what “well” actually feels like.

Inside Good Change Community 2026, you’ll experience:
• Two 15-day seasonal cleanses (Autumn + Spring) with recipes, structure, and live support
• Optional deeper Home Panchakarma for those members ready for a deeper shift
• Tools that make resetting simple, doable, and repeatable — no extremes, just rhythm

As member Kirsten Keeley shared:
“The cleanse is life-changing every six months. You can make it your own — gentle and progressive, with full support from Becs and the community. It gives you the tools to tune in and listen to your body, while keeping nourishment front and centre.”

This is why cleansing is core. It shows you — clearly and quickly — what serves you and what drains you. It builds confidence in your choices. And it brings you back to yourself.

Plus 2 new resets for 2026 ✨:
• Summer: Women’s 2-hour Hormonal Reset Workshop
• Winter: 6-week Breathwork & Meditation Course

Because seasonal resets aren’t a detox trend — they’re a way of living. They’re the reason so many of our members feel lighter, clearer, steadier, and more themselves as the year unfolds — and why they keep coming back, season after season.

Membership: $44/month or $440/year
Doors close 30 November — reopening January 2027.

Meet Fi... How Good Change Grounds Her Life and Her Work

Fi (), based in Lennox Head, has been part of Good Change since 2019 and is one of our Community Support Members for 2026. As a Pilates practitioner and wellness professional, she knows how essential it is to feel centred, grounded, and nourished to show up fully for her clients.

“Because I work in the service industry, giving a lot to others, I need to be feeling good myself. Having the guidelines and support from Good Change has helped me feel much better in myself — which means I can be a better teacher and hold space for my clients effectively.”

For Fi, Good Change is more than a programme — it’s a backbone of support. The 10 healthy habits, ongoing classes, and Kaizen approach allow her to continually delve deeper, learning something new each time. This personal growth directly feeds into her work, giving her extra tools and insights to support clients navigating their own health challenges.

She’s also noticing the ripple effect in her family life: small diet tweaks, better rest, even decluttering and cleaning have become part of a positive, life-giving cycle.

“It’s real, honest, and grounding — we come as we are. The Kaizen approach is fantastic, and the habits help me lean into my circadian rhythm, support hormone changes, and take better care of myself and my family.”

✨ Good Change Community 2026 is open for registration — a place where professionals and individuals alike can strengthen themselves, grow their knowledge, and bring more clarity and ease to the work they do and the lives they live.

Memberships: $44/month or $440/year
