Motherhood can be so lonely, if you are looking for your crew come meet my KangaCrew! Our next 4 week intro to Kanga block starts 21st Nov and I have 5 spots left. This is a free 4 week program run at New Lynn Community Centre on Fridays at 12.30pm.

Participants must be 6 weeks postpartum for a vaginal birth and 12 weeks postpartum for a c-section and have completed a health questionnaire before their first class

💜 Strong as a mother 💜 After having a baby your body has been through an incredible transformation! 🤱 You may have also experienced some complications during pregnancy or birth. 👶 It's important to respect the huge changes your body has gone through and allow yourself the rest and recovery time that you deserve. 💖

You are welcome to start Kangatraining classes 6 weeks after a vaginal birth, 12 weeks after c-section and when you've been cleared by your health professional. 🤸 Kangatraining helps you gradually and safely return to exercise. 💪 By wearing your baby during Kanga classes, as your baby grows, that increases the weight you are carrying, which in turn improves your strength! 🏋️‍♀️ We also work on strengthening your core, butt, legs, back, arms, pectoral muscles and of course your pelvic floor muscles. 🍑 It really is a full body workout! 💯

Hi! I'm Sherylee, and this is my Kangabuddy Quin,

We have been teaching Kanga here in West Auckland for 10 years.

I became a Kangatrainer because Quin was a paua baby with silent reflux, and I was desperate to exercise.
She lived in a carrier for the first year of her life as being upright helped to suppress the vomit reflex. It made it really hard to go to a traditional gym, so I started searching for alternatives, Kanga ticked all the boxes, but there were no classes near me. So I did the course and brought Kangatraining to the West.

Now Quin is about to start intermediate, and I'm still teaching. Why? Because I want to create a space where other parents can bring their bubas and exercise, a place where everyone is welcome.

Bet you didn’t guess… pelvic floor exercises! 😄

At Kangatraining, we love a good laugh & a good workout but we also take care of the parts of your body that need a little extra 💜 after pregnancy & birth. That’s why every trainer is specially trained to adapt exercises to support your postnatal body, including your all-important pelvic floor.

Many mums tell me this is the bit they find trickiest at first — it can feel weird to focus so intentionally on muscles you can’t even see! But once you start tuning in, it’s a total game changer. Taking just 5 minutes to reconnect with your pelvic floor can make such a difference to how you move, feel, and recover.

Kangatraining really is a whole-body (and whole-mum) workout — baby cuddles included. 💕

Term 4 2019 timetable 14 October - 10 December 2019 Monday : 9:30 : Massey Community Hub Monday : 6:30 : PreKanga ~ Te Atatu South Community Centre Wednesday : 9:30 : Kanga on Wheel ~ Hobsonville Point boardwalk Friday : 12:30 : New Lynn Community Centre Participants must be minimum 6 weeks postpartum, 12 weeks for c-section, registrations essential, term passes from $80 for 8 classes. PreKanga [pregnancy-friendly classes] six week block - LMC clearance required
