Grateful to say we’ve cruised past 100 followers.

Thank you and welcome to all the new friends who've joined us. It’s been just over 3 months since Breathe be Free started sharing Paths to Freedom, and the year still holds so much potential.

I know the world can feel full and challenging right now. Practices like yoga, meditation, and breathwork give us the energy and presence to stay resilient and act mindfully.

Recently I shared Alive in Breath, and it’s been great hearing about people exploring it. This is one quick way to start experiencing your own grounded presence.

Lately I've been observing the mountains.

Some days they are sombre & clouded, others they are bright and clear. The weather can change their appearance and character so drastically.

The mind and body are like this too. There is so much that happens in life, so many weather patterns we don’t influence.

Experiencing Breathwork and meditation starts to change this. When you feel how just a few minutes of conscious breathing can transform your entire daily or weekly outlook, you start to wonder whether you could shift your internal weather patterns towards brightness and clarity more consistently.

It all begins with movement and breath,

They are foundational capacities we share and yet it's easy to lose sight of this in the action and variety of modern life.

The good news is that in just a few moments we can start to shift this - to tap into the deep well of possibility waiting in our noses, bellies and limbs.

If you’d like to experience this now, try this:

Pause.
Notice how your body and mind feel.
Sniff gently through the nose three times in a staged inhale, then exhale slowly.
Repeat: Three soft nasal inhales, one long exhale.
Pause again.

Notice what has changed. Do you feel more present, more at ease, more alive?

If this helps, you’re welcome to repeat it a few more times.

And just like that.... we've reached 50 followers. It's been a little over a month since Breathe Be Free started gently guiding us towards peace & freedom, this is just the beginning.

We'll be here so long as people are feeling exhausted, restless or needing a release.

The pace of technology feels different these days; always on, always present, always waiting and watching for the next task.

When we spend a lot of time interacting with it our lives can start to feel a bit like this too. A hyperactive search for that next hit of....what, exactly? Entertainment, knowledge, food, comfort, security.

This may even start to feel like an amorphous craving which never seems to be satisfied.

Perhaps you've stumbled across this post in absent minded scroll or you know you're in the midst of a real scrolling binge. Whatever the case, take a moment with me.

Pause.
Engage your body with a few deep breaths
Notice what you feel in your body
Notice what you hear around you
Notice the taste in your mouth

This is your mindful moment, if it feels good, perhaps you'd like to stay with it a little longer.

Being with animals can be particularly joyful as they are so present and receptive. Recently I've been spending some time with horses and have experienced how sensitive, receptive, and loving they can be.
