What have you been reading recently?

We’ve been easing gently into the new year, with an actual break from all things books for perhaps the first year ever!

It’s been nice to have some time to get stuck into other hobbies and some good books, but I’m always excited to hear what you’ve been reading too.

I got this book for Christmas, and I can’t wait to get stuck into it!

That’s a wrap for Books for Less 2025! 💝

Thank you all for an incredible year. Like most small businesses, the year had its ups and downs, but we’ve ended busier than ever - and that’s all thanks to you.

It is such a privilege to share our love of books with so many other like-minded people, and there’s no doubt that book people are the best people!

We’ll be closed from now until early-January, but the website will remain open, and we will ship out any orders that come over the break. Otherwise we’ll be resting, reading - and planning more bookish fun for next year!

The weather is playing ball so get in while you can.

New books this week ✨

I can’t believe no one has snapped up We Sopve Murders yet! Despite a busy final book drop last night, we have plenty of great reads still to discover this week.

A final reminder that today is the last day to get orders in for guaranteed shipping, but we will be shipping up until the 22nd, and then on non-stat days throughout the break.

It’s the last book drop for the year, and what a year it’s been! 🎉

I’m still in denial that Christmas is next week (wasn’t it just August?) but apparently the calendar is correct, and we truly are at the final book drop for the year.

So I’ve filled tonight’s drop with awesome summer reads, books that would make great last minute Christmas gifts, and plenty of those “oh I’ve been meaning to read that!” books.

Don’t forget tomorrow is the last day for orders to arrive before Christmas (although we will still be posting orders over the break), else you can pick them up in person at the this Saturday 🎁📚

Summer reading for every mood ☀️

With only two book drops to go this year, I tried to pick books I think would make great summer reads, whether that’s finally binging the Thursday Murder Club series, getting stuck into some Kiwi fiction, or learning something new with a non-fiction read.

If you missed our dates yesterday, the last day for Christmas shopping and shipping is the 17th, although we will be sending orders throughout the festive period.

These books, and plenty more to discover will be on our website tonight at 8pm.
