Lately, we’ve been focused on creating and perfecting two new Healu products, both currently being community tested.

Meet the Face Behind Healu

Hi, I’m Hayden, the heart and hands behind Healu and this is my greatest inspiration, my son Harlen.

Healu began as my personal journey to create a more authentic, natural life for my family. Along the way I discovered a deeper purpose, helping others reconnect with their true selves and with nature, in a world that often moves too fast and pulls us away from what matters most.

Through seeing healing from a different perspective, the connection between us and mother nature, I created Healu to help restore what has been forgotten over generations. The name itself came from a phrase I held onto throughout my own healing journey “you healing you” because all true healing begins from within.

Drawing on my knowledge of herbalism, I’ve created a healthier, more natural home for us and now I’m bringing that same intention to Healu. My vision is to one day create a Healu Healing Sanctuary, a space where people can step away from the noise, slow down and return to the natural rhythm we were always meant to live in.

This is my journey. This is Healu.

Every Healu balm begins here, with kawakawa resting in oil. The strength of the infusion carries the strength of the plant and we honour that by keeping it potent.

It is not about the amount of balms we produce, it is about making each one powerful enough to promote true healing. Just the way nature intended.

Through my own journey, I’ve come to understand a deeper form of healing, one that begins not with doing more, but with slowing down enough to notice it’s there.

When Healu first began, these balms weren’t made for the shelves — they were made for home. I wanted a more natural way to support healing for myself and my family, without the synthetic extras.

After seeing how well they worked, we shared them with friends and whānau… and the response was overwhelming. That’s how the Healu Kawakawa & Calendula Healing Balm and Healu Kawakawa & Turmeric Anti-Inflammatory Balm were born.

The Healing Balm – Our original, & plain formulas have been used for a wide range of skin healing — from rashes and eczema to minor cuts, bites, and even supporting recovery from small infections.

The Anti-Inflammatory Balm – Blending kawakawa with turmeric and arnica, this balm has become a go-to for active muscle recovery, bruises, arthritis relief, sore joints and reducing inflammation.

Nature gives us everything we need to restore our energy.
