I often get asked what it is that I do, and why I do it the way I do it, and sadly, why do not many people do what i do. I often struggle to explain it because in NZ we have limited modalities with limiting scopes of practices imposed upon them. So often it is a single thought pattern delivery model.

I get incredibly frustrated for my clients that spend weeks/months getting a single limited service elsewhere with little to no outcomes instead of combining modalities to get a more complete outcome. So I shared my frustration with my good friend, mentor, and all around legend (who is the possibly the main catalyst as to how I treat, communicate, educate the way I do), and is the proud visionary director of (best clinical education company in the business, by far!!!). He listened to my rant and put this video together. Couldn’t agree more with Shaun here!!! 🙏🙏🙏

If your goals don’t scare you… they’re probably too small.

Registering for the CrossFit Open is not something I thought I’d ever do!!! But here we are 👊 Most people set goals that feel comfortable.
Goals they already know they can achieve.

And sure — that feels safe…
but it also keeps you exactly where you are.

🔥 The right goals should challenge you.
They should make you think:
“Can I actually do this?”

Because that’s where growth lives.

When you choose goals that stretch you (even slightly), something powerful happens:

✅ You become more disciplined
✅ You build confidence through action
✅ You stop playing small
✅ Your nervous system adapts to discomfort
✅ You discover what you’re truly capable of
✅ You create momentum that carries into everything else

You don’t need to be fearless.
You just need to be brave enough to start.

Set goals that scare you a little.
Then show up daily until they don’t.

Because the version of you on the other side of that goal?
They’re built differently.
