Three weeks to detach and unwind … a few of my favorite vacation pics. For many this looks like hard work but to me it is pure bliss and relaxation 💕 three weeks on the road in the van with my bikes and my comrade 💕 NZ is awesome

Dbl hit-out on the Timber trail.
Goal was to have a solid effort and aim for 9 1/2 hours clock time … Pureora-Ongarue-Pureora - 160 kms by my Garmin or 166km if you go by DOC signs . It was a magic day for it … not too cold, not too hot, it was just right … clock time 9 hr 40 - moving time 9hr 25. I did it and I didn’t - maybe i faffed around too much on my 2 stops 🤦‍♀️ or maybe it was all the tourists I passed going the other way who seemed to be happier on the R hand side which wasn’t helpful when this was the side they choose when they saw me coming towards them - great to see them all enjoying this stunning trail … maybe it was the digger who had torn the trail up repairing it - kudos to these workers for maintaining the trail - they do an awesome job … or maybe I just didn’t ride fast enough today 🤷‍♀️ either way stoked to have another memorable day on the timber trail

It’s that time of year again, where we all look forward to relaxing weeks at the beach or relaxing weeks adventuring 😊

It seems like just yesterday I was packing up the van for 4 weeks on the road!

Another fantastic year has rolled by which is why they go so quick … as they say time flies when your having fun 🤩 I feel so fortunate to call this gig my ‘job’ and even more fortunate that I get to be part of your journey to better health.

Big news for next year - after more than 6 years working out of Fastlane Fitness I’ll be moving office. Such a great community to be part of - as they say change is good, and I’ll miss the crew. But … Flex and Stretch classes will continue, so don’t forget to keep those in your New Year’s resolutions.

I’ll start in my new office space Jan 26th which will be located in Hillcrest - more to come on that as we get closer to the date.

My schedule is up-to-date, if you see a space it’s there to be booked. I’ll be working through to Xmas eve.

We will again be loading up the van and heading south with the bikes for 3 weeks - I’ve been asked many a time haven’t I riden everything there is to ride down there? Short answer … nope.

Raglan 275 (km) … smashed out a big day in the saddle. Had a solid day - other than general tight hips and back from almost 13 hours saddle time I felt like I nailed a decent day out. The first 160 km was mostly gravel and all the hills - some solid climbing and really amazing back country and coastal riding. The next 110 km was mostly paved and we got all the wind … very little of it was from behind 😓. Massive kudos to my comrade who is forever supportive of these missions and met me in Waitomo and joined me back to Raglan. Goal was to make it back to Raglan for fish and chips before the shop shut - due to the winds there was no water-front dining … we had our own private seating in my car sitting in the 4square parking lot 🤦‍♀️ washed down with a couple of ciders it was just what this old body needed. Mantra of the day ‘enjoy your legs’ inspired by as they navigate Johnny’s life changing spinal injury - a true example of what it means to never give up 👊
