🌿 Feeling Grateful After My Liver and Gallbladder Flush!

I’m thrilled to be on the other side of my annual liver and gallbladder flush. I have to admit it’s not my favourite thing but I believe that doing multiple flushes years ago significantly contributed to my health improvements. The stones and bile sludge I passed back then was mind blowing (I won’t post the pictures as they’re a bit grossšŸ˜)

I am genetically predisposed to gallbladder issues—both my mum and grandmother had theirs removed—and my genetic testing confirmed mutations related to gallbladder function. I am determined to look after my gallbladder as I don’t want to get it removed.

Signs of Gallbladder Issues:
• Fatty food intolerance or nausea after eating fatty foods
• Constipation or SIBO
• Bloating after meals
• Right shoulder blade pain or upper right abdomen pain
• Nausea after eating fatty foods
• Hormonal imbalances & deficiencies (particularly fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K)

The gallbladders job is to store bile, which helps break down fats, and maintaining its health is key to overall digestion and well-being. Some ways to support gallbladder health include doing coffee enemas, castor oil packs, and bitter foods.

If you’re thinking about doing a liver and gallbladder flush, it’s important to follow the right protocol. The preparation and supplements to soften the stones and open the bile ducts are just as important as the flush itself. We have a specific protocol we use in clinic using herbs and coffee enemas to prepare the liver and gallbladder for the flush.

TESTIMONIAL
Jenny is incredible. I saw her with debilitating migraine symptoms and with her regime of supplements I am able to function normally. She also accurately diagnosed food intolerances in both my babies - their reflux completely disappeared when I removed the foods from the diet - Ingrid.

Hi there! It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself, so here goes!

I’m Jenny, a Naturopath based in Hamilton, NZ. I’m married to Mike, and we have two wonderful sons, age 20 and 22.

My journey into natural health started after I struggled with poor health for many years. In my 20s, I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a painful autoimmune condition that took a toll on my life. I went down the medical route but I felt like the medical system failed me as my pain was getting worse and so was the rest of my health and I knew there must be a better way.

Everything changed when I discovered Naturopathy. I found a great Naturopath who tested me for food intolerances and got me on the right supplements, my symptoms reduced and some disappeared completely. The results were life-changing!

This sparked my desire to shift careers from accounting to becoming a Naturopath, with the goal of helping others experience the same transformation.

I’ve been practicing for over 13 years now, and it’s been the most rewarding experience to witness my clients achieve health breakthroughs through natural methods.

I’m passionate about helping others transform their health. Personally, my health is very important to me so I do my best to live a balanced life with healthy food, daily exercise, stress management, and regular detoxing practices. In my spare time I love to paint and read.

If you’re looking to take control of your health naturally, I’d love to work with you.

New Year, New Experiences! šŸ’« What's on your radar for 2026?

I've jumped straight into personal growth with an amazing retreat with liveinflow in Byron Bay. It involved meditation, sound healing (that was new to me and amazing), embodiment yoga and breath work. It was truly inspiring and one of the best experiences of my life.

But hey, that's what growth looks like, right? Stepping into uncharted territory, making decisions that push us beyond our comfort zones.

What about you? šŸ¤” What exciting plans do you have for this year?

What's that one thing you're willing to commit to, that will push you to grow and evolve? It's all about dedicating time and making a plan to embrace the new and unfamiliar – it’s so good for us!

And if you feel you didn’t do things last year that pushed you to move outside of your comfort zone enough, then now is a good time to see just how far you could push. Maybe it’s trying a new dance class, joining a networking group to seek more connection or maybe its tapping into some sort of creative outlet that you have been thinking about for a while, but putting off.

This year, I'm all about making the leap, taking risks, and exploring new horizons.

Share your commitments to growth and challenges below! Say it out loud and make those commitment with me - Let’s head on this journey together! šŸŒæšŸ’Ŗ

Seeking a more proactive method to help monitor your breast health?

Let me introduce you to breast thermography—an approach that I personally opt for every year. It's not an alternative, it's about being proactive!

Unlike mammograms that involve radiation, thermography utilises thermal imaging technology, making it a safe and painless procedure. In just a few simple steps—taking photos and allowing for a short interval—it identifies temperature changes in breast tissue, indicating potential areas of concern.

At Clinical Thermography, this technique offers invaluable insights into breast health. It serves as a baseline, detecting any changes over time, guiding further investigations if needed, and providing an opportunity to explore lifestyle adjustments to improve breast health.

Remember, early detection is key!

If you are ready to take a more proactive step towards your breast health, you can find out more and book your appointment at clinicalthermography.co.nz 🌸✨

Let's talk about strength—specifically, being a strong woman and the importance of building muscle, especially as we journey through the second half of our lives šŸ’Ŗ

I've been diving into podcasts lately, all about achieving optimal health as we age. One key takeaway that struck a chord with me is the significance of muscle mass in maintaining overall health. Did you know that declining muscle mass can heighten the risk of various diseases? It's eye-opening.

If you're interested in starting a muscle-building journey, Dedikate is a fantastic resource, they even have specific peri/menopause workouts following the latest research. You can find them at dedikate.co.nz and they do a 7 day free trial and then it costs less than $10 a week. They have a range of workouts from weights, pilates, yoga, HITT and many others. I've found their routines engaging and effective. Grab some dumbbells from Kmart and The Warehouse then you can get started in the comfort of your home.

Remember, our muscles deteriorate faster as we age, so it's crucial to prioritise building and maintaining them. Let's invest in our strength—it's not just about fitness; it's about empowering ourselves for a healthier future šŸ’Ŗ

Are you experiencing unexplained symptoms like anxiety, rashes, headaches, or congestion? You might be dealing with histamine intolerance without even realising it!😳

Histamine, is a chemical produced by our gut bacteria and also found in various healthy foods. Histamine can be the cause of many different symptoms when it accumulates in our system.

Stress, dehydration, and certain foods can trigger histamine buildup, causing issues like insomnia, a tight chest, flushing or redness in the face, sinus issues, and even joint pain. Each of us has a different capacity for handling histamine, so what might be fine for one person could overwhelm someone else's system šŸ˜•

For example I had a day where I consumed a mix of things including dark chocolate, aged cheese, tomatoes and red wine and my symptoms were shortness of breath, anxiety and flushing in the face. It wasn’t until I tracked back that I realised I had triggered a histamine intolerance reaction; it was too much histamine for my body to process at once.

Did you know that factors like estrogen levels can also influence histamine intolerance? Yep! When estrogen peaks around ovulation time histamine levels are also higher at this time.

The good news is that there's help available! Improving gut health and making dietary adjustments can significantly reduce these symptoms. If you suspect histamine intolerance might be the culprit behind your discomfort, get in contact with us.
