๐ This Fatherโs Day, we celebrate our heroes. ๐
The men in our lives โ fathers, husbands, brothers, sons โ all have their own unique way of showing up. They may not always get it right, and the role of โfatherโ is not always easy to carry, but what makes them heroes is that they try. They keep going, they shoulder responsibilities, and they show up with love in their own way.
Heroes arenโt perfect. Theyโre human. And today is about recognising those everyday heroes โ the ones who fix, guide, support, protect, provide, and love.
We also acknowledge the step-in heroes โ the uncles, partners, grandparents, friends โ who love without condition and step forward when needed. You are role models who make families stronger and more connected.
And to those who may be navigating the absence of a father or their very first Fatherโs Day without one, we see you. Today is for you too.
๐ However you choose to spend today, may it be a moment to celebrate the heroes in your life, and to honour the strength, love, and courage they bring.

Why? Because we need to reconnect with ourselves...
We discovered float therapy a long time ago by reading various posts on non-corporate pharmaceutical treatments for stress and anxiety and someone posted about this thing called โfloatingโ. Intrigued we jumped to Google and looked at the research - the results were astounding - and so began a beautiful journey of discovery, self-discovery and a world that seemed to open so many doors for us personally. We were hooked after our first float. We may not have known it then but looking back, we were at a crisis - a crisis of being too โplugged inโ and that we were no longer able to connect with the most important person in our lives - ourselves.
It is not often that we stop, interrupt our own busy schedule and ask our self: โHey, how are you?โ or; โHow am I really doing in the midst of what is going on around and inside me?โ
When we curate a space of intentional interruptions and โchecking inโ with ourselves we are not only able to navigate the pilgrimage we are on but we can also change the course. When you float you provide an environment where your brain gets to practice โactive interoceptionโ. That is, the inter-sensing of how you are doing inside. The old langue for this used to be โsensory deprivationโ but recent studies have shown that when you minimise exteroception (sound, light, sight, gravity, temperature etc. - external sensing parts that keeps your brain occupied) it actually heightens the brainโs ability to more consciously sense what is going on inside. So it should rather be called โsensory enhancementโ.
This seeming need to reconnect was the genesis of why we decided to create Serenity Float Clinic. We are honoured to share this journey with you and look forward to the pilgrimage we will get to share together over the coming years. May we reconnect with our WHY...
