👣The Secret to the "Perfect" Foot Soak 👣

As we celebrate National Feet Week, we wanted to share one of our favorite professional tips for maintaining your feet between Reflexology sessions.
A proper foot soak is a wonderful way to de-stress and support your overall wellbeing.

1. Warm water - Warm enough to increase circulation.
2. Magnesium/Epsom Salts - 1/2 -1 cup to stimulate relaxation.
3. Essential Oils - Choose the one that fits your need. We love Lavender & Peppermint!
4. Soak for 15-20 minutes - Enough for a positive effect without getting wrinkly feet!

As Reflexologists, we spend a lot of time with feet, from learning about their structure to how they react to the specialised touch from Reflexology.

One of the many benefits of Reflexology is that a session not only helps care for your feet but can also assist in your overall wellbeing. By focusing on the feet, we are able to support the rest of the body in finding its natural balance.

Here are some fun facts about our feet.
👣There are 52 bones in your feet (26 in each foot). Thats 25% of your bones in your body!
👣Your footprint is unique just like your fingerprint.
👣Ticklish feet is a good sign, it shows that your almost 8000 nerves in your feet are working.
👣 Your feet have 250,000 sweat glands that can produce up to half a pint of sweat a day!
👣Podophobia is the fear of feet.

A wonderful way to show how reflexology is great for teens. Over the years i have worked with many teens, with reflexology, Zu Qigong and colour. Thank you Reflexology Association.

Being a teenager now is a lot.

There’s constant input - school, expectations, screens, friendships, pressure to figure things out - often all happening at once, and rarely with much space to switch off. It’s not surprising that sleep can feel off, energy can dip, and emotions can feel all over the place.

Reflexology offers something simple but often missing. A chance to pause.

By encouraging the body to slow down and step out of that constant “on” mode, reflexology may help support better rest, improved focus, and a greater sense of balance. It’s not about fixing anything or having all the answers, but about giving the nervous system a break and allowing the body to reset.

For many teens, it’s one of the few times they’re not being asked to perform, respond, or keep up. Just to be.

And sometimes, that’s exactly what’s needed.

My intuitive cards today asked me to reflect on Shadow. The areas of ourselves that we sometimes do not want to look at.
Shadow work helps us grow and heal and energy work can draw on this sometimes.

The more light we shine , the more shadow appears.

This is wholistic ! 🌑🌕🧡
