MediTrain has been providing quality First Aid courses to the community and businesses since 1991.

MediTrain has created and published all their own training material, including manuals and visual material which are relevant to New Zealanders. Relevant First Aid training
Our courses are recognised by OSH as Workplace First Aid courses and accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and the Ministry of Education. While meeting compliance requirements and a high standard of teaching our courses are underpinned by the desire to provide every individual with relevant and practical training that provides them with the skills and confidence to cope in emergency situations. Furthermore, our courses help to increase health and safety in communities by promoting safety awareness, injury prevention and injury recovery. To achieve these goals we consult with our clients in order to get clear ideas about their specific needs. We then combine our expertise in First Aid training with research findings and the knowledge and experience of experts in the various domains to develop tailored relevant First Aid courses.

Jillian never expected to use her first aid training at 5:23am on a quiet morning in Bulls. But when her husband Matt collapsed and stopped breathing, everything she’d learned with MediTrain came straight back.
She called 111. She started CPR. She kept going until help arrived, and Matt survived.
We were so impressed by Jillian’s courage and quick action, and by the volunteer team who helped save Matt, that we presented her with a MediTrain First Responder Award. 💝
Jillian’s story is a powerful reminder that most cardiac arrests happen at home — and the person you save is often someone you love.

🚑 A few quick actions can save a life. When 80-year-old Rick collapsed on his morning walk, two cyclists nearby acted fast, calling 111, starting CPR, and using an AED. Rick survived because his community was ready.
