Do you want to understand autism better in 2026?

FANZ is the ideal programme for parents & caregivers, family/whānau, and professionals.

FANZ is specifically designed for anyone supporting, living or involved with an autistic individual (child to adult), who wants some understanding and practical strategies to enhance the lives and maximise the learning opportunities for those individuals.

FANZ is a two-day programme that enables participants to create a framework for understanding and supporting an autistic person.

Her’s what participants say about FANZ:

“All fantastic. Practical suggestions, great stories; approachable facilitators; a huge insight into someone with autism, what to expect, characteristics, a plan, ideas, behaviours and how to deal with them.”

“The workshop was relevant, delivered clearly and used a variety of situations that are often familiar on a daily basis and we now have strategies to employ when dealing with people with autism.”

Our upcoming dates include:

Christchurch: 11th - 12th February 2026
Wellington: 18th - 19th February 2026
Auckland: 25th - 26th February 2026

ADHD New Zealand is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori with our favourite te reo word - "aroreretini".

Coined by Māori educator and linguist Keri Opai as a non-judgemental way of describing ADHD, it translates to "attention goes to many things".

We love this empowering term, which embraces the curiosity, creativity and strength that comes from having attention that is drawn to many places.

You can read more about Keri Opai's mahi (work) in this space here - Words have great power https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/dmcn.15266
