✴️ What does the change to orange mean for River Ridge East Birth Centre? ✴️
🧡 Our service continues to operate as normal. You can birth here, or if you choose to birth at the hospital, speak to hospital staff or your midwife about transferring here to River Ridge East Birth Centre afterwards.
🧡 To protect the health and wellbeing of our staff, LMCs, and women, partners and babies at River Ridge East Birth Centre, and to minimise the risk of exposure to Covid-19, anyone coming to our facility must be well. If you or someone in your household is unwell, or has been at a location of interest, or in contact with a suspected/confirmed case of Covid-19, please do not visit our facility.
🧡 For labour and birth, a woman may have two support people with her here at River Ridge East Birth Centre.
🧡 One support person may stay for the postnatal stay. We prefer it if the support person remains on site for the duration of their time here. However, the support person can leave (and return) if necessary. The support person will still be able to purchase food from our menu during this period too.
🧡 The Visitor Policy will remain restricted, however, a few special visitors are able to come in. We'd love to welcome the grandparents and siblings of the new baby to visit between 1pm – 8pm, and to keep everyone safe, ask that two visitors per family come inside at any one time, and stay for a short visit only.
🧡 Masks must be worn by all visitors when in a public area. Please ensure physical distancing with staff and others within the facility is maintained at all times.
