Wrapping up another busy week at Nga Hua Pharmacy!
Had the pleasure of welcoming Marie from the Cook Islands Cannabis Referendum Committee and Andrew, the Chief Pharmacist of the Cook Islands to our pharmacy this week. We had a long korero about the pros and cons of our current Medicinal Cannabis Scheme in Aotearoa, New Zealand, as well as our kaupapa when it comes to medicinal cannabis at Ngā Hua pharmacy. We hope our brothers and sisters in the Cook Islands will also have access to medical cannabis soon.
Also, as medical cannabis becomes more prevalent, we take patient advocacy and education seriously, so we decided to provide some education and guidance to our local police officers so they are well informed when it came to working with patients on medical cannabis!

Kia ora! James here!
I will be in Melbourne for the following week attending the ACannabis conference and visiting leading cannabis dispensaries in Australia.
As a passionate advocate for medical cannabis, I am always wanting to learn more about this amazing plant that we now use as medicine, as well as ensuring I am practicing the most recent evidence based knowledge when it comes medical cannabis. I will always strive to be the most passionate and knowledgeable pharmacist when it comes to medical cannabis in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Will also be a great networking opportunity to see how our Australian brothers and sisters are working with medical cannabis through their cannabis based dispensaries!
Please be patient with repeat orders and new prescription for medical cannabis sent to our pharmacy, as the team at Ngā Hua pharmacy will try our very best to keep up while I’m away for the week.

As you are likely aware, the recent cyclone Gabrielle has caused widespread devastation in parts of Aotearoa, New Zealand, and many people have lost everything, including their homes and even their lives. Our hearts go out to those who have been affected by this tragedy.

At Ngā Hua pharmacy, we want to do what we can to help. We are fortunate to have been largely unaffected by the recent wild weather, and we want to extend our support to those who have been impacted.

As the leading provider of prescription medical cannabis (MC) products in Aotearoa, New Zealand, we are offering existing and current MC patients who have been severely affected and displaced by the cyclone, their MC prescription free of charge. We can send the MC prescription product to the nearest pharmacy for you to pick up from there.

We also want to make sure we're reaching those who have been hit hardest by the cyclone, so we're making this a "nominate" someone you know who has been severely affected by the recent weather situation. We know that times are tough for many people right now, and we don't want anyone to have to defer or delay getting their MC prescription product due to financial difficulties the cyclone may have caused.

We truly believe in the power of the plant, and its use as medicine. We're here to support our MC community in any way we can, and we hope that this small gesture can help make a difference.

To all of our valued customers,

We understand how important it is for you to receive your medicine parcels on time and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the recent flooding in Auckland. The state of emergency that has been put in place has resulted in delays to our deliveries, including those that were shipped out yesterday for Saturday delivery.

We would like to assure you that the couriers, NZ Post, are working hard to get things back to normal delivery schedule as soon as possible. We understand the seriousness of not receiving your medicine on time, and we will do everything we can to ensure that you receive your parcels as soon as possible.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented circumstances.

The countdown to Christmas is on! Our staff will be getting a well deserved break over the Christmas and New Year holidays. We will close at 12pm on Thursday 22nd December, and reopen 9am Wednesday 4th January 2023.

Please ensure you get all your prescriptions, including medicinal cannabis prescriptions, into us as soon as possible!

Today was our pharmacy technician Arzhay’s last day!! 😢
Arzhay has been with Ngā Hua pharmacy for the last 4 months, and now she is moving onto a management role for the Waikato DHB.
Even though her time with us has been short, she has brought on some amazing changes to the pharmacy and we couldn’t be more grateful for her various inputs by implementing innovative initiatives like providing free COVID-19 Care Packs for whānau. We are confident that Arzhay will go onto do some awesome mahi for the DHB.
Both the Ngā Hua pharmacy team and Te Kōhao Health team will miss you!
