It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, who was called home on Friday, 23 January 2026.
Reunited with her darling Faiva’aiga Usoali’i Seiuli Faioso.
Beloved mother of Niu & Lisa, Laugutu, Amani & Bohdeen, Tumema & Mata’afa Lafaele, Siloma and Satu.
Cherished grandmother of Sarai & Kulisi, Usoali’i Peter & Ocean, Vaiana, Joseph, Amani, Malia, Jarai, Niu Junior, Charlie, Elideen, Elijah Rock, Maddison, Beau, Amani Jnr, Archie, Mateo, Andre, Sienna and Maia.
Great grandmother of Usoali’i, Kulisi Jnr, Raniera, and Ruawai.
Sister of the late Fa’afetai, Rev Latu, and Tumema, who are now reunited in God’s Kingdom; and sister to Olive Amani Tanielu, Ieremia Amani, and Latu Tavita.

Second Mother to Opeta, Suega, Uili, our angel Olione, Latu-patu and Logotaeao L and many others.

Loving Aunty (Mother figure) to her many nieces and nephews and a very special person to her many family members, church and community.
Our dearest Mother lived a life grounded in faith, family, Samoan heritage and service. Her love and legacy will continue through the generations she leaves behind.

Service Details
All services will be held at Hastings Wesley Methodist Church.
Family Service:
Monday, 2 February 2026 at 6:00pm
Funeral Service:
Wednesday, 4 February 2026 at 10:00am
Mum will be brought home on Saturday, 31 January 2026 at 8pm

Passed away peacefully on the 21st of January 2026, aged 67.

Loved father and father inlaw of Ani, Ahitana & Fame, George, Santana & Kasey. Cherished papa to all his mokos. Treasured son, brother, uncle and friend to many.

Ashton lived a hard life but gave the best of himself to his family. He will be remembered for his strength, sacrifice, and love for his whānau.

A tangihanga will be held at Rongomaraero Marae in Porongahau, beginning on Saturday the 24th of January at 11am.
The service to celebrate Ashtons life will held on 24.01.2026.

Ashton is currently laying at home at 21 Birkenhead Crescent in Flaxmere.
Ashton will leave his whare at 3pm today to leave to Rongomaraero Marae in Porongahau.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our father, Tony Haapu, who passed away peacefully.

We are grateful for the love, memories, and time we shared with him, and we take comfort in knowing he is now at rest.
Thank you to everyone for your love, support, and kindness during this time.

7 Cartier Cresent , Flaxmere, Hastings. Dad will leave Flaxmere at 12pm Monday 19th January for Whangara Marae 368 Pa Road, Gisborne where he will lay until his Nehu Friday 23rd January at 11am.

Nau mai, haere mai. For those who are planning to travel, there is plenty of accomidation at the Marae.

Dad will arrive today this afternoon TBC to Houngarea Marae Pakipaki where he will lie until his service on Friday 16 January at 10.00am.

Karakia each evening at 7.00pm.

Loved Son to Joan Walker and George Waaka. Dearly missed father to his tamariki and koro to many moko.

Barry's funeral service is held on Thursday, 15th of January at 10am at Tim Hutchins Funerals.

Today the last Totara fell silently in the forest. The sunrise was extra beautiful knowing my father was home with his beloved mum, dad, brothers, sisters and many of our loved ones.
He lived his life to the full and loved his soul mate from the night he met her all those years ago. He leaves a legacy of whakapapa and Mahi that will carry on with the future generations.

Dad will be with whānau today. Tomorrow we will take him home to our marae for one night, and a ride to Ruakituri to hang up his bridle before heading home.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Iakopo (Jack) Sagote Lemalu surrounded by aroha.
On behalf of Iakopo (Jack) Sagote Lemalu and Lena Te Kuru and Whanau we thank you all for your kind words, love, and support during this deeply sad time. We are truly grateful to have you alongside us as we farewell our loved one.

You are welcome to come and visit Jack on Thursday, Christmas Day (25 December) and Friday (26 December) from 10am onwards.

Iakopo’s funeral service will be held on
Saturday, 27 December at 10am at 22 Pāpaki Place followed by his burial at Mangaroa Cemetery at 12 noon.
