Tragically taken away from us on 17th April 2026.

Adored Wife, Mum, Daughter, Sister and Friend.

A service to celebrate Olawande's life will be held at 11am on Friday 1st May 2026 in her church Napier Baptist Church 36 Riverbend Road, Maraenui, Napier. Followed by her interment at Western Hills Cemetery.

Livestream link will be posted at a later date.

This young family are needing support to get through this difficult time and the months ahead. Please help if you can.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved matriarch Janet Manaakitia Goldsmith. Mum passed away surrounded by her loving whānau at Hastings Hospital.

Dearest daughter of the late Charlotte Wharehuihui and Piki Kiriona Rennie. Youngest sister of nine siblings (dec).
Loved mother to Carl & Sally, Mark & Brenda, Charmaine & Kevin and Shane & Maria. Adored Grandma to Natalie & James, Stephanie & Heydin, Erana & Colin, Steven &

It is with a heavy heart the Heke Whānau would like to announce that our cheeky, stubborn Father, Papa, Uncle & Friend passed peacefully surrounded by his tamariki yesterday.

Papa will be resting at 23 Wycliffe St , Onekawa from Saturday 2.30pm until we move him to rest with his beloved wife Hine in Manutuke , Gisborne on Monday 6th April at 11am.

We welcome all Whānau, Friends and Guests to join us back at Tatapouri Fishermans Club , 54 Esplanade, Inner Kaito , Gisborne for a hakari.

For those wanting to Koha to our Whānau we gratefully have a account set up.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Faamanatu Alatina Galo.

Our dear father passed into eternal rest with God on the 26th of March 2026.

A father to his children, Masunu, Senemaria and Siale. A beloved brother to his siblings and church members. A dear friend to many, a treasured faiaoga a*o Sā and much more to the Metotisi Hesitini Church.

Our dad, a man of unwavering faith whose life reflected his love for God and family. Through prayer, humility, and quiet strength, he lived his faith each day, sharing kindness, patience, and compassion with all who knew him.

Although our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing he is now home with the Lord he served so faithfully. His love, values, and memory will live on through us all.

We ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers at this time. Thank you for your ongoing love and support.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wiremu Miki Kani, dearly known to many as Pop Kani.

Cherished son of the late Bob and Heneriata Kani. Loved father of Riana and Robert Kani. Treasured brother of Marama, Aera, Leah, Connie, and the late Rona and Robert Kani.

It is with heartfelt sadness, that our Whānau/Aiga announce the passing of our Pāpā Vaea Tafa'i Snr Ioasa.

Born 77 years ago in Fagafau, raised Taga, Savai'i & Letogo, Upolu- migrating to NZ some 50+ years ago.

OG Whakatū, Tomoana and Takapau Freezing Worker.
Lived the majority of his life in Hastings.
Passing suddenly on Friday 27 February 2026, at his retirement village in Papatoetoe, Mānukau.

He has now returned home to Tim Hutchins Funerals in Hastings and will be taken to Houngarea Marae, Old Main Rd, Pakipaki. Hastings at 11am on Monday 2nd March 2025.
