E te whānau, e ngā hoa, tēnā koutou katoa.
Kua riro atu a Anaru i a tātou, he tangata kaha, he tangata aroha, he pou mō tōna whānau. Ahakoa kua wehe atu ia i te ao kikokiko, ka mau tonu tōna wairua me ōna maharatanga ki roto i ō tātou ngākau. Moe mai rā e Anaru.
It is with heavy hearts that we remember our dearly loved Anaru Winitana, who tragically passed away at the age of 46. A devoted son, father, partner, son, uncle and friend, Anaru’s warmth, strength and laughter touched the lives of so many. His presence filled every room, and his love for his whānau and friends was unwavering.
A funeral service to celebrate Anaru’s life was held on Monday, 9th February at Elwood Function Centre, followed by a private cremation.
On behalf of Anaru’s family, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended the service, sent messages, brought kai, offered support, and stood beside us during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness, love and prayers have meant more to us than words can express.
Anaru will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
Moe mai rā i te rangimārie, e Anaru. Ka ngaro koe i a mātou mō ake tonu atu🤍
