Kinesiology New Zealand

Kinesiology New Zealand Nicki Thompson is a Functional Kinesiologist based in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a holistic/natural form of healthcare which combines muscle monitoring with the principles of Chinese medicine to access energy and body function, applying a range of gentle yet powerful healing techniques to improve health, well-being and vitality. Kinesiology uses gentle muscle monitoring to obtain bio-feedback from your own body intelligence to decipher what factors are involved in your health issue, whether it be physical, emotional, mental, nutritional or spiritual. Kinesiology can help improve a wide range of health issues, including:

Emotional issues
Stress and anxiety
Low energy levels
Addictions
Fears and phobias
Hormonal issues
Fertility issues
Physical pain
Child behavioural issues
Immune issues
Nutritional sensitivities
Poor self-esteem
General well-being

Kinesiology helps one access the inner knowing and find again the power of choice in one's life.

I’ve heard all of these over the years …
that you have to believe it,
that nothing happened if you didn’t feel much,
that it’s unscientific.

I’m not here to convince anyone … each to their own.
We’re all shaped by our own lives and experiences.
What I do know is this:
if this modality were as “out there” as some suggest,
I wouldn’t have invested almost 20 years of my life into it.

The body doesn’t need convincing.
It responds to information.
Sometimes change is obvious.
Sometimes it’s quiet.
Both matter.

Kinesiology isn’t about fixing or forcing …
it’s about listening to the nervous system and supporting balance.

Worry doesn’t just sit in the mind … it often lands in the body. When the nervous system stays in that “on alert” pattern for too long, it can show up through digestion, hormones, muscles, energy systems/levels and more.

Functional Kinesiology helps by checking where that worry is sitting physically and what the body needs to shift out of it. Every body holds stress differently, so we follow your system’s priorities … not guesswork.

This is not something you need to sit with alone. If worry is lingering in your body, reaching out to a Functional Kinesiologist in your area can help guide your system back toward calm and balance.

Practice really is the key to confidence.

As part of Level one Functional Kinesiology training I run weekly practice evenings, so the students can get hands on, ask questions, build trust in their skills and really feel their work in action.

It’s where everything starts to click.
