SUGAR - that’s what damages teeth and bones!

🍭 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐲? 🦷
The real causes of tooth decay are 𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, not a lack of fluoride. 🛑

While New Zealand continues to 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫, it doesn’t tackle the main issue: 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 and the 𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬. 🏥

Take a page from 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝’𝐬 book! Their 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞 program promotes 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 and educates children on 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐲𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞, leading to 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 in dental health - without fluoride in the water.

It’s time for a 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞.

🚨 𝐅𝐥𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐯𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭’𝐬 “𝐈 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞” 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 🚨

As more studies reveal 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬, the public’s concerns are growing.
But what does our government have to say?
𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆. 😤

Instead of addressing the mounting evidence, the 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 continues to push fluoridation, proudly portraying their “𝐒𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐭-𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐭”:
"We don’t care what the peasants think. 𝐀𝐃𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐋𝐔𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐄 – Because 𝐖𝐄 say so!"

The question is:
Why is the government ignoring the 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐰𝐢𝐬?

Not all water is created equal when it comes to your baby’s health. Fluoride, commonly added to tap water, is a chemical that could harm your baby’s developing brain. Babies don’t need fluoride - it’s not an essential nutrient - and overexposure could cause 𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲.

Will you vote for a political party that continues to support fluoridation, even though fluoride does harm?

Will the the government hand decision making back to the adults harmed by fluoride?

Will Councils continue to drip toxic HFSA (fluoride) - an industrial waste product - into drinking water, potentially lowering the intelligence of the whole country?

Tauranga councillors flip flopping on fluoridation. Do they ask the government to stop fluoridation, given the research coming out, or do they continue to put this chemical in the water and face opposition from their rate payers who don’t want their rates spent on fluoridation, when educating children to look after their teeth is a better way to encourage lifelong dental health.

In 2016, Whakatāne District Council made a 𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 — they voted to 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and instead pledged to invest in a 𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 based on the world-renowned 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄 initiative.

✅ 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, which does 𝐧𝐨𝐭 fluoridate its water, 𝐜𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 for children’s tooth decay 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 and saved £𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 through CHILDSMILE.

🚨 But then came the 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐩-𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐩.
Whakatāne Council 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, bowing to pressure from the DHB and pro-fluoride lobby groups. Cr Gerard Van Beek reversed his vote from the 28th of January to 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏 fluoridation... to 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 it.
Despite acknowledging that 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐱 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐲 and that 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞, he voted to continue adding a 𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 to the water supply instead of backing a 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐍, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞.
Why?

🦷 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐓?

• A 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 focused on children’s health
• 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 for a science-backed programme
• A shift toward 𝑒𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, and 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒
• 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚 – BOP DHB still refuses to release 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚

💡 𝑭𝒍𝒖𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒘𝒆𝒓.
The evidence is clear — 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐲𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞 make a far 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 than chemicals in our water ever will.

The Dutch doctors noticed an increase in brain tumours in 1950s when The Netherlands briefly added fluoride to the water. Could that be the reason?

It does get into the Pineal Gland and this causes an enlargement of this gland which blocks the flow of cerebrospinal fluid causing hydrocephalus.

I know this for sure as it happened to me. I was 5 months old when mum gave me fluorine tablets on advice from her doctor. I was a rural baby. Five decades later the pineal tumour showed up on MRI scan. I avoid all fluoride - in water, toothpaste, mouthwash and black tea.

Check your accumulated fluoride in blood test through Canterbury Health Laboratories. Your doctor can organise this or you can call them directly.

These nations have either banned, rejected, or discontinued fluoridation based on scientific concerns, ethical issues, and public opposition. Instead, they focus on better oral health policies, fluoride toothpaste, and improved dental care.

Austria – Never fluoridated, sees no need.

Belgium – No fluoridation. Prefers fluoride in toothpaste.

Denmark – Declined fluoridation due to ethical concerns.

Finland – Stopped fluoridation and focused on dental care.

France – No fluoridation, advises fluoride via other means.

Germany – Rejected fluoridation, calling it "compulsory medication."

Greece – Never adopted fluoridation.

Iceland – Never adopted fluoridation.

Italy – No fluoridation, no proven need.

Luxembourg – Stopped fluoridation and promoted alternative fluoride use.

Netherlands – The Court ruled fluoridation unauthorized in 1973.

Norway – No fluoridation, advises fluoride through diet and toothpaste.

Sweden – Banned fluoridation in 1971, citing ethical concerns.

Switzerland – Stopped fluoridation in 2003.

Israel – Ended mandatory fluoridation in 2014.

💡 𝟵𝟴% 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿.
𝙒𝙝𝙮? Because they follow the science, and the science has changed.

Please share these messages - people need to know just what a toxic chemical fluoride is.

At a public meeting, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗸 (𝗠𝗢𝗛) actually claimed that fluoridation isn’t medicating people, just "treating the water."

💧 So why is fluoride added to water? To alter human biology by preventing cavities. That’s the definition of 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.
💉 Even the NZ Supreme Court ruled in 2018 that fluoridation is a medical treatment.
💉 Every person drinking fluoridated water is consuming it, not the pipes.
💉 Unlike medicine, there’s no control over individual dosage - everyone gets it, whether they need it or not.

The MOH isn’t treating water - they’re treating people without their consent. 🚨 If fluoride is so "safe and effective," why not let individuals choose their own dosage, like with toothpaste?

Forced medication is unethical - Kiwis deserve the right to choose.

The Broadbent (2015) study is often used to claim that fluoride is 𝑠𝑎𝑓𝑒, but did you know it was classified as 𝐥𝐨𝐰-𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞? 👀

✅ The 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐍𝐓𝐏) 2023 reviewed fluoride’s impact on the brain and dismissed Broadbent’s study as 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐤.
✅ 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫-𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 like Bashash (2017) and Green (2019) used 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 (e.g., urine fluoride levels) and found 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐐 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 in children.
✅ 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚-𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐬 (Grandjean et al. 2024) place far more weight on these 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 — unlike Broadbent, which didn’t even measure 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞!

So why does the NZ government keep using Broadbent to defend fluoridation? 🤔
Because it fits their 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚, even when the 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞.
