Once again Stew is risking life and limb to take part in the Napier to Wellington Scooter Challenge.

A message from Stew:

I am fundraising for Jolly Good Chaps - Napier to Wellington 50cc Scooter Charity Challenge
The Grand Annual Jolly Good Chaps Napier to Wellington 50cc Scooter Charity Challenge is a somewhat torturous charity event where participants ride a 50cc scooter from Mitre 10 Mega Napier carpark in Napier to the Wellington CBD.

It’s all about raising as much money as we can for local Hawkes Bay charities and yes, 100% of the funds we raise go to our chosen charities.

Please support me by donating today. Every dollar counts!

Mary Eileen Stewart QSM
28 February 1937 – 2 February 2026
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Mary Stewart QSM, a dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mary was the beloved wife of Alex Stewart QSM, and together they shared a life grounded in love, partnership, and service to others. She was a treasured mum to Tom, a proud grandmother to Inosia, and a cherished great-grandmother to Phillip, Phoenix and Thomas, holding her family close at the centre of her heart.
Mary was a woman of deep compassion and quiet strength. Alongside Alex, she co-founded the Brain Injury Association of New Zealand, driven by a genuine desire to help families facing some of life’s most difficult challenges. Her tireless dedication, empathy, and fundraising made a lasting difference to many lives, and she was honoured with the Queen’s Service Medal (QSM) in recognition of her service.
Above all else, Mary will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and generosity of spirit. She gave freely of herself, always thinking of others, and leaves behind a legacy of care, courage, and love.
Mary will be deeply missed by her family and by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her impact and memory will live on in the many lives she touched.
