Ka tũ te tangihanga ki Pukemokomoke Marae, Maraenui, Napier ā te Wenerei, 06 Haunere 2026 i te 11:00am.

It is with deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of our Uncle Desmond Reti KauKau who passed away on 3rd January 2026.

Youngest son of the late Peneamine Tukuora Reti-KauKau and late Turuhira Reti-KauKau (nee Hunia) beloved Brother, Uncle, Papa and friends (with all due respect and aroha too many to name), arohaina, e tangihia nuitia ana e te whānau me nga hoa.

Uncle will lay in state at 42 Venerables Ave, Maraenui, Napier from Monday 5th Jan 2026.

On Tuesday we will take our Uncle to Pukemokemoke Marae, Maraenui, at 10:00am.

Service will be held for Uncle on Wednesday at 11:00am, followed by Cremation at the Hastings Crematorium.

Passed away peacefully with his best friend by his side, surrounded by whanau.
Much loved father of three, treasured grandfather and great-grandfather.
Forever loved and deeply missed by all his family and friends.

On behalf of the whanau we would like to say we are very greatful for the compassion and care everyone has shown in his final days.

Warren is currently now in the care of Childers-Woodgate Funerals Australia.

Max was a hard working humble man that enjoyed everything from whitebaiting, to diving, golf to motorbike riding and everything in between and we honour him in the amazing life he led.
