Nothin’ much to see here? Well, single leg body-weight deadlifts🦵on Brendon’s stroke affected side have taken well over a year to look like this… through ‘chipping away’ he’s now deadlifting 120kg again, mowing his lawns, cleaning his pool, holidaying overseas (camping styles 🏕️), getting around on an electric scooter & talking other goals for the first time.

🚶🏽‍♂️🎵 Matching steps to the metronome beat… working on stride symmetry. Neil here has returned to the gym 6 years post-stroke - what a gutsy guy & evidence that it’s possible to keep restoring function years ‘down the track’ if the intent is there.

🚘 Pre-class Prost-FIT banter yesterday exchanging stories of getting first driver’s licenses (inspired by my 16 year old just getting hers)…turns out it was a little easier ‘back in the day’!

🚶🏽Gait Gains… Blackie works tirelessly on his opposite arm swing to leg, accuracy of foot placement & turning tightly on the spot. These motor aspects are no longer ‘automated’ with his Parkinson’s Disease, so we drill them again & again (with his rests full of great stories of rugby days…he’s not as innocent as he looks 😉)
