Alternate Wednesdays 11-1pm. At the Womens centre and other times at 24 Arataki Road Havelock North.
Another 4 people experienced Bowen Therapy today. So rewarding for them and for me seeing the results even just with the session complete. My mission is simple:
To help individuals live life better!

I believe that wellness shouldn’t be complicated, painful, or intimidating. That’s why I use the Bowen Technique — a gentle, non-invasive therapy that works with your body’s natural ability to reset and heal. The body gives ques of what it needs. The assessments during each session tell me when the Bowen Technique has done its job.

💡 Whether you’re dealing with long-standing pain, jaw tension, stress, or you just want to feel more balanced, our goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can finally exhale and let your body do what it’s designed to do: recover.

I do have clients with similar experiences of not gaining relief until they tried Bowen Therapy.

Chronic pain following surgery. A great outcome !

I recently spoke to a client I treated almost 3 years ago. She allowed me to share her Bowen experience and I’m glad she did, because hers was one of the most memorable Bowen treatments and outcomes that I’ve carried out.

My client for 26 years had been suffering severe pain in her right scapula (shoulder blade) since she had undergone open heart surgery in 1991.
The pain could not be explained by her doctors and over the years she had been on heavy pain medications and tried many different treatments to no avail.

It was interfering with every aspect of her life including sleep and any kind of physical activity. She described the pain as radiating under the shoulder blade and was sometimes excruciating.

She decided to try Bowen.

During her treatment, she experienced tingling in the troublesome shoulder blade, which continued for some time afterwards. (This type of tingling during treatment is quite normal, although some clients don’t experience this.)

On returning for her 2nd (and final) treatment, she was in disbelief that the scapula pain had disappeared within days. Although she wasn’t getting her hopes up too much in case it returned.

Just before Christmas the following year I received a phone call from her and she said something like “I just want to say thank you so much. That pain hasn’t come back. You have changed my life and I just wanted to tell you that before Christmas.”

3 years on and the pain still hasn’t returned.

This is one example of how effective the human body can be in repairing itself once it’s given the right conditions and stimulus to do so.

If you are suffering any kind of pain whether it’s a new injury or long term (chronic), Bowen may help and I would suggest is certainly worth a try.

(Note: Everybody responds at different rates to treatment and often more than two treatments are required for chronic conditions.)

A neighbor (88yrs) further up the street, whom wanted to see me weekly today,
NEIGHBOUR: "Louise, I think I don't need to see you for a while. My knees are good, my back has no pain, even after a little trip on a rug that has now been removed" (Black eye). It is a miracle. Louise it is amazing what you have done for me".

So she did not have a session today, and I did not charge her for not cancelling. She has no phone or computer. She had initially made the tricky journey with her walker to my door to leave a message for me to contact her. She now can walk easily without a walker.
