🥪🍎 Free fruit + fresh salad rolls = happy team! 🍎🥝

Thanks to the amazing support of Community Trust South we’re able to keep our team fuelled with healthy options that everyone can enjoy. From juicy apples and kiwifruit to stacked salad rolls - it’s safe to say they’re a real hit! 💚

Nothing beats seeing our crew tucking into fresh fruit and loaded salad rolls at smoko - and even better when it’s free 🙌

💚🎄 A Christmas Miracle on the Conveyor Belt 🎄💚

One of our amazing team members, Jenny Barclay, spotted something unusual on the conveyor belt - a Christmas card that turned out to contain $250 in cash that had accidentally been recycled.

Thanks to Jenny’s sharp eye and honesty, and a bit of detective work and social media sleuthing, we were able to reunite “Nannie Lord” with her very special gift from her grandchildren.

This is a beautiful example of the care, integrity, and community spirit our team shows every day. We’re incredibly proud of Jenny in helping return this treasured gift to its rightful owner.

BBQ sausage sizzle today for the team and they were all smiles 🌭😄

A huge thank you to Riverton Butchery for donating 100 sausages, and to Bowmont Wholesale Meats Limited for supplying sausages at half price.

All cooked up on our brand new Weber, which we were lucky enough to win from Trents Wholesale, Invercargill - how good! 🔥

We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing support we continue to receive from our Southland community - and a huge thanks to the boss for taking care of the cooking duties! Absolute legends. 💛♻️

Our Recycle South team are absolute legends.

The mahi they put in every single day sorting Invercargill and the wider district’s recycling, the way they look out for each other, and the pride they take in what they do never goes unnoticed.

They give so much to their work and to our community, and they more than deserve the treats, the thanks, and then some.

We’re pretty lucky to have this team 💚♻️

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Sir Tim Shadbolt.

Sir Tim was an avid and long-standing supporter of Recycle South during his years leading ICC. He was never one to stand on the sidelines - often rolling up his sleeves and joining us on the sort line, helping sort recycling alongside our friends from XO Church.

Sir Tim represented our community with heart, humour, and unwavering passion, and his legacy will be felt for many years to come.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the wider community he served so proudly.

Rest in peace, Sir Tim. 💞💫
