If you’re travelling around the city today, please plan ahead and have extra time up your sleeve.

Stop/Go traffic management will be in place on SH1 Tay Street between Kelvin Street and Deveron Street at times between 11.30am and 4.00pm. An eastbound lane closure will also be in effect during this period.

Esk Street will also be closed from 8.00am to 4.30pm, between the Southland Education Building and Deveron Street.
Pedestrian access will remain available, and the Council Building will be open.
HJs car park will still be accessible via Kelvin Street to Esk Street.

Sir Tim Shadbolt's service at the Civic Theatre is open to the public, with doors opening at 1pm.

Please stay calm and considerate while traveling the roads and leave plenty of time if needing to travel into the CBD today or better yet just do the things another day.
