It’s been a busy few months! We’re still blazing ahead with and moving into our next phase of learning: generating background assets for games and other projects in AI.

We’re diving into mapping, GIS, and open data from all over Aotearoa New Zealand — councils, government departments, organisations, and hobbyists alike — and exploring how all these data sources can be integrated into our projects.

We’ve loved experimenting with different models in and working in . AI agents and generation make the journey from idea to concept to product a breeze. CI/CD and reviews? Easy peasy. 😄

And… we’ve also started our easy listening channel, created entirely with AI. 🎧

We’ve been deep diving with GitHub Copilot to supercharge our coding—and the results have been awesome! There are plenty of AI agents out there, but Copilot fits perfectly with the toolset our kids have used for over a year, making it easy to layer in new coding helpers without switching context.

Check out one demo on-screen that was built in under five minutes 🧐😂

Each class kicks off with a 5-minute game challenge: students dream up a mini-game, then cast and demo it to the whole group after the 5 minutes is up. It’s quick, fun, and a great way to sharpen presentation and speaking skills—practice builds confidence!

We’ve been having a blast with our Curious Minds crew lately — exploring how to use GitHub Copilot in VS Code to build something awesome from scratch! 😄

The kids have been learning about agent programming and how AI tools like Copilot can actually help you write code, fix bugs, and even suggest ideas as you go. Together, we've been working on a free educational app that helps people learn different subjects — and it's already taking shape!

😎 Over the past few weeks, we've been experimenting with different tools like Replit, Cursor, and now moving back into VS Code with GitHub Copilot to help build ideas and speed up learning.

It’s been awesome to watch these young minds test out what works best for them, whether they’re building games, solving problems, or just exploring new ways to create with code. They’re not just learning to program — they’re learning how to think like developers: trying, testing, adapting, and growing.

Some days have been a grind, but that's life. There's great times and then theres other times. These are the skills that will carry them far, no matter what path they take. 🤙
