I’m not in the habit of filming bedtime routines BUT since we started doing this, I felt so passionately about telling other people how beneficial this is.
My kids are.. absolutely wild. Pure boy energy. Often found running, jumping off height and punching (mostly each other or my bum for some reason) so we’ve started adding in this pre bed Vocalising.
Aum’s, hum’s, singing, it all stimulates the vagus nerve helping shift your body into the parasympathetic nervous system, helping us arrive into that rested, calming, healing place.
So for busy wee folk it’s such a nice way to just get them to start to down regulate (chill the f out) Which doesn’t appear to happen too often during the jumping chaos that is the majority of the day.
Not only do i instantly see this guy calm down, it’s such a beautiful moment of connection in our day 🤍😭
