❄️ DON’T LET WINTER TRIGGER YOUR ASTHMA 🫁
Did you know asthma symptoms are often brought on by things in your environment?
Common triggers include pollen, pet dander, dust, smoke, cold air, temperature changes, and respiratory infections like colds or flu. Because many of these are more common in winter, asthma symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, or shortness of breath can flare up more easily.
That’s why one of the best ways to stay in control of asthma is by following a written Asthma Action Plan. This personalised plan is created with your healthcare provider and outlines what to do when your asthma is well controlled, getting worse, or becoming severe.
If you live with asthma, it’s a good idea to make sure your inhalers are up to date and that your asthma action plan is reviewed at least once a year.
