Wow! What a year. Between the dramas and stress that Corona Virus has brought us, to the exciting arrival of our wee baby girl Hazel, it has definitely been a year to remember!

In other exciting news, I will be kicking back into gear next month (December) and am now taking bookings, with appointments available from the 1st - 18th December.

There will be a couple of changes as we move forward.....

I will be working reduced hours, so please book ahead if you would like an appointment.

As of 2021 I will be increasing my hourly rate to $80, to align myself with the current prices in Rangiora. In the 10yrs that I have been working as a Massage Therapist, this is the first time I have increased my prices.

I can't wait to see you all (old and new) and look forward to being able to help relieve any pain, tension or stress that you may be experiencing - especially after the year we have just had!!!

These 2 cuties have benefited from my inability to operate under level 3 and 4.
They are definitely bottom of the pile when it comes to receiving a massage with clients (although they are both fit, active and healthy with no obvious pain issues or lameness), my horses and family usually getting in first - I know, hard to believe that Rev could be the bottom of anything!!!!!
So during level 4 I watched Mouse do the trademark 3 legged hop, holding up his hind leg, which is usually seen as a sign of a patella issue (potential subluxating patella). Not exactly classified as an emergency under alert level 4......so I decided there can be no harm done in treating his hind end - end result, tension released from his quads and hip flexors and no more 3 legged hop 🙌
Rev was getting a bit jealous with all the attention Mouse was receiving so I decided it was about time to treat his Illiopsoas after being recommended to by a friend.
Thankfully little Ratdog illiopsoas are a sight easier to treat then on humans! I got quite a surprising result from treating Revs Psoas - he had started to wake us up at night if he wanted to get on the bed..... I thought it was because he had had a couple of misses in the past so had just lost his confidence, but it turns out his psoas must have been hindering his jump as he is back to happily jumping on the bed in the middle of the night, much to my relief as he used to sit at my head and whine until I finally woke up and picked him up 🤣
Such a cool feeling being able to help out my furry best friends 😍

Due to my current situation (28 weeks pregnant), the current National situation and with the Government's recommendations in regards to social distancing, I have made the very hard decision to cease my Massage Therapy work for the foreseeable future.
This decision has not been made lightly, but with the risk of spread due to the nature of my work and the unknown of how much this may be currently spreading, I feel it is in the best interest of everyone's health to limit contact as much as possible to help limit any unnecessary spread.
I am so sorry for the inconvenience. I hope that we all look after each other out there and I'm sure we can get through this.
