The part no one really says out loud…

I’m in a build phase right now.
So yeah… I’m not at my leanest.

And if I’m being really honest, I do have moments where I look at myself and go“ugh… I feel bigger.”
I still really struggle with it, and that can mess with your head a bit. You really have to check yourself.

We’re so used to thinking lean = doing well.
So when the scale creeps up… it can feel like you’re going backwards.
But I know I’m not.

I’m eating more.
I’m training hard.
My lifts are going up.
I feel stronger.
And that little bit of weight gain?
That’s part of it.

I just keep bringing myself back to the bigger picture…

Im in my build phase. If I want to build, I have to go through this part.

I’m building muscle.
And you can’t do that under-eating.

You can’t do that living in a deficit.

So instead of freaking out about it,
I’m choosing to trust it.
Because this phase…this is where the work actually happens.

Closer to Raro, I’ll tighten things up, drop a bit of body fat,and that muscle will come through.

But right now?
I’m building it.
Strong now. Lean later.

Just a little reminder, if you’re in this phase too…
you’re not doing it wrong.

Plant protein… good? Bad? Or just misunderstood?
I get asked this a lot.

Here’s the real deal:
• Plant-based proteins can be a great option
• Usually easier on the gut (especially if dairy doesn’t sit well)
• Naturally free from a lot of common allergens
• Bonus nutrients — fiber, minerals, even some healthy fats
• And yes… a bit more environmentally friendly

But here’s the part people skip
• Not all plant proteins are complete
• Some are lower in key amino acids needed for muscle building
• Meaning… if you’re not combining them properly, you may not get the full muscle-repair benefit.

So what does that actually mean for you?
You don’t have to avoid plant protein.
You just need to be a bit smarter with it.

Blend sources.
Choose quality.

Or, use a well-formulated mix (pea + rice is a solid combo).

Because at the end of the day…
It’s not about plant vs whey.
It’s about getting what your body actually needs to perform, recover, and build strength.
